Let's create a $10 trillion deficit, and tell the mushbrains that it is fiscal responsibility.

just wondering? said...

President Obama just announced plans to withhold the stimulus money from California as punishment for their taking wage concessions from unionized state employees. According to the President's statement, California must restore the unionized workers salaries in order to obtain the federal money.

Does this mean that Governor Rell just gave away Connecticut's stimulus money by taking wage concessions from our unionized state employees??????

At a news conference this week, President Obama evoked the name of Winston Churchill when he said the British Empire didn't torture its prisoners during World War II. Ian Cobain is a reporter for the Guardian newspaper. He says the British actually tortured a number of prisoners during the war. Churchill also attempted to use poison gas on huge numbers of civilians despite it being a violation of the Geneva Convention, but was stopped in his efforts by Parliament.

If you are going to quote history Mr. President, next time get your facts straight!

The Democrats' political attack on the Bush administration, with respect to "torture - water boarding" has fizzled out.

There will be no criminal investigation or prosecution; Nancy Pelosi is on the defensive due to a CIA leak of what everyone already knew, that she approved of water boarding when she was on the House Intelligence Committee; and polls show that most Americans approve of water boarding, etc., and the Democrats are trying to forget the whole water boarding thing.

The public is left with two conclusions: (1) the Democrats' main indictment of the Bush administration is that it was mean to the terrorists, and (2) if terrorists pull off an attack between now and 2012, the kinder and gentler Obama administration will be to blame.

This is a terrible position for the Democrats to be in, and the wound is entirely self-inflicted.

We've been waiting for a while for the Democrats to pay a price for their orgy of hatred, and it looks like they finally have dug their hole!

We think one can fairly draw at least one conclusion from this Water Boarding Pelpsi political episode.

The case of Nancy Pelosi provides the key to the "torture -water boarding" controversy. It is a partisan charade and it is a charade of a particularly disgusting political character kind of garbage - garbage in and garbage out.

The Democrats' "torture -water boarding " charade is a case of low politics masquerading as the high principle of we (Nancy Pelosi) do not torture.
