...an order instituting administrative proceedings against William P. Candelori (Candelori) and the simultaneous acceptance of his offer of settlement. Candelori is a former associated person of Colonial Equities Corp., a broker-dealer previously registered with the Commission. The Order bars Candelori from association with any broker, dealer, municipal securities dealer, investment adviser or investment company."

The Herald has stopped short once again in its reporting of a story re Candelori. Candelori and his son are operating a real estate firm in Berlin called Creative Real Estate. How did he (Candelori) get a license from the State?

Town officials are taking preliminary steps to determine if Berlin should build its own wastewater treatment plant or continue sending sewage to The Mattabassett District, a regional facility located in Cromwell.

In the near future, the Mattabassett District plant will undergo extensive renovations that are expected to cost $100 million. Berlin will have to pay a portion of those costs, and local sewer customers will face higher sewer bills as a result.

The high price tag of the renovations prompted Berlin officials to consider whether the town should build its own facility. They want to know if the project is feasible and if it would be more cost-effective than paying for upgrades to the regional plant.

Why should the city of NB give up its control of the Sewer Authority? Middletown should have rights if it pays the correct buy in amount but isn't the membership based on population Frank? And the payments are based on average daily flows of which NB is the highest and pays the most! This bill would strip alll the 3 present towns of rights they have to bring anything that changes at Mattabassett to their local legislative bodies for approval. Stop the crap from flowing I say. Cash out or give the operation to a private vendor and let them pay for the upgrades to the facility.
