Apparently President Obama believes that Republicans, who gained 63 seats in the House and 6 seats in the Senate, should have nothing “ideological” to say if it interferes with Obama's agenda. Thus the President intends to do “what he can” without them.
It will depend on whether the people want to remain free or live under a communist style dictatorship?
Democrats have 200 years of history being the party of oppression. Fighting to prevent blacks and women from having equal rights, while Republicans were the party that freed the slaves and guaranteed blacks and women equal rights.
You can vote for the party of slavery or the party of freedom.
