Slogan sounds like a kid wrote it.

And here's why it bothers me as a supporter of hers. Slogans for a political candidate shouldn't try to be funny if that same candidate is simultaneously trying to convince the public that their younger age is not an issue. It undermines her credibility. Perhaps her trusted advisers on the campaign get a kick out of it, or perhaps even a double meaning, but from the out side it looks immature.

Admit it. You don't get it!

When you let a pop culture reference affect your opinion that much, you need to take a step back.

It's not meant to be overly serious - which is the brilliance of it.

Remember there are a lot of low information voters she needs to reach who not exactly going to respond to in depth conversations.

Low information voters don't vote in Muni elections.

Are you crazy!? Bertha Lewis will be bussing them for this election - she's already said so.

Keep Calm and Carry on is an iconic British WWII Propaganda slogan, designed to encourage the home front not to be paralyzed by fear in the face of adversity.

It is a piece of history that has recently made its way into pop culture. But those who do not study history are doomed to repeat it.

and those who embrace socialism are doomed to failure, because as Brittish Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher put it: The problem with socialism is that sooner or later socialists run out of other people's money to spend.

Isn't that just what is happening here in New Britain, in Connecticut, and even in the United States at the federal level?
