BRIDGE DEDICATED TO FORMER STATE REPRESENTATIVE;
Mayor Timothy Stewart attended the dedication of a bridge memorializing the late Anthony Tercyak--five years after his death.
“He served us well and a true Model for Public Service” the mayor said. The mayor continued by mentioning the dedications of the lecture hall at the New Britain High School in honor of Dr. Tercyak. The mayor said “It is fitting that the State name this memorial in his honor today.” “A street he passed everyday on his way to the legislature.”
Representative Peter Tercyak spoke about the many organizations his dad served on over the years.
It is befitting and a great honor that the last sign you see when leaving New Britain Is the “Anthony Tercyak Memorial Bridge” and it is the first sign you see when reentering New Britain from Farmington.
Where is the bridge located?
ReplyDeleteIn answer to anonymous' question" where is the bridge located?"
ReplyDeleteThe bridge is crossing over route #9 right at the West Hartford Mall Exit. Additionally, it is the bridge that croses the highway on Hartford Road from New Britain's Country Club to the West Hartford Mall.
