The Record-Journal of Meriden Has quoted Mr. Michael Schroder, the New Owner of the Bristol Press and The New Britain Herald, stating he planned to personally deliver today copies of two newspapers, one in Bristol and the other in New Britain, to their longest subscribers who have been receiving the papers for sixty five years continually.
I wouldn't want it even for free as long as it continues to be nothing more than the left wing propaganda paper authored by Phony Phil Sherwack's personal author.
ReplyDeleteIf and when they find a way to offer a fairly written paper, I would consider giving it a try, but until then if I want hateful one-sided lunatic reporting, I can always read the Daily Kos or watch NBC.
It is common knowledge that Guinness is nothing more than Phil Sherwack's mouthpiece!
ReplyDeleteI'm under the impression the new owner of the Herald wants to present an unbiased opinion of what goes on in the city. There's more to this city then what is reported about the Common Council meetings. Get over it, Thorn.

ReplyDeleteI agree with you there is much more to this city, but we are normally left in the dark on most issues because Rick Guinness will not print anything that his master, Phil Sherwack won't allow him to print. The only way this new owner will ever offer us unbiased reporting is to bring in a professional reporter from outside, someone with no alliances to wackos like Phony Phil, then, and only then, will we get a chance to have fair and balanced reporting. If it is just Sherwack's lap dog, Rick Guinness, it will just be more of the same lunatic ramblings of Heir Sherwood, so the new owner might as well just flush his money down the toilet because another bankruptcy will be inevitable.
To Anonymous and The Thorn:
ReplyDeleteThere is a perfect way that the new owner could prove his paper to be unbiased: Since they like to report on the arrests of everyone else in town, why not finally report on the recent arrests of the individual who decides what arrests their paper will report on? Afterall, wouldn't that be fair and unbiassed reporting?

PHIL SHERWACK ISN'T GOING TO LIKE THAT ONE BIT. SCHROEDER IS ABOUT TO FIND OUT WHO HE REALLY WORKS FOR. WAIT UNTIL PHONY PHIL FINDS OUT WHAT THEY ARE GOING TO PRINT WITHOUT HIS CONSENT!
ooooh, this new guy is going to be in Dutch with Sherwacky!
