Now a practical question. If a decriminalization bill passes the legislature, will Rell sign or veto it? In 2007 she vetoed medical marijuana, which is why Connecticut still prosecutes and imprisons sick people for treating themselves with the “wrong” medicine...............
Maybe you should wake up and smell the marijuana. Governor Rell did the people a service by vetoing the medical marijuana bill, because sale or possession of marijuana remains a serious federal crime and there is no exception in the federal law for medical use. The DEA recently went around raiding drug stores in San Francisco and arresting the druggists for dealing illegal drugs, despite a California law making it legal in that state. What Governor Rell did was to save the people of CT the possibility of being targeted by the federal government for arrests on serious federal drug charges. If you want the Governor to reconsider, first you must stop the out of control federal government from passing laws that contradict those of the states. If I remember my constitutional law classes, those rights not guaranteed the federal government are reserved for the people and the states, but once again the federal government is trying to control every aspect of your life.

Sounds like the ramblings of wacked out phony Phil Sherwack who is well known for his diarrhea of the mouth.
I am a conservative who believes that the government needs to spend far less time worrying about what people do to themselves. I have heard countless arguments about why pot should be illegal and have not been convinced yet. Like with alcohol it is a personal responsibility issue not to endanger others while under the influence. That and that alone is where the crime is. Statistics show that a vast amount of people smoke it. Prohibition was a failure with alcohol and it is a failure with pot. Let government get back to the role of bricks and mortar and let’s stop trying to legislate people’s morality.
