Tim O'Brien is is a good choice as most residents don't pay attention when voting. They will see the name "Tim" and think they are voting for the current mayor. The socialist bunch will have a new sloppy liberal leader.
O'Brien is a nitwit. He's nothing more than a puppet of the Democratic Machine, and the puppet strings will be much harder to hide in City Hall than they are at the Legislative Office Building.
Tim Stewart's management skills are the reason that the city is in such great financial condition while almost every other city is in financial ruin. The difference between those other cities and New Britain is they have a liberal running things with their giving away money like it grows on trees. You want to see your taxes skyrocket and layoffs like Hartford's 250 layoffs at the school board, turn your city over to a liberal and get ready for your taxes to double almost overnight. Someone has to pay for all the "free stuff." To quote from Margaret Thatcher: "The reason socialism has always failed is that eventuall socialists run out of other people's money to spend."
Wait a minute. O'Brien's claim to fame in the legislature is "he's an advocate for property tax reform"?
Sorry. I fell off my chair reading that one. Obviously he doesn't own a home in New Britain. O'Brien doesn't own a home, Tercyak lives with mommy (supposedly not in Hartford). What is going on here?
Tim O'Brian was elected as State Rep. in 2002, the same year that he and the left wing coalition engineered the end of Minority Party Representation in NB. Guess who came on the scene at the same time?" You guessed right, I mean "left" (winger) if you guessed Sherwack. Now what you have is a left wing coalition led by communist/socialist McNamara "the lesser", Sherwack and the Working Family Party!
Tim O'Brien's employment record is simple - he's never held a real job and he knows little about NB - another left wing carpet bagger. He's a big LOSER!
Anonymous said... O'Brien wants to take credit for the make up of the last 3 common councils? Really? These folks have been BAD. Ethics problems galore.
Having a minority voice(s) on the council ensures checks and balances against a corrupt one party system. If Stewart quits, loses, retires, this City will be in for disaster. Mayor (d), council (d), maybe only 1 or 2 r's on the council? Yikes.
I GUESS THIS MEANS THAT O'BRIEN MUST SHARE RESPONSIBILITY FOR CONFLICTS CATANZARO!
This could be the best thing that could happen to the Republican party now that it has moved to New Britain. Running a commie for mayor is going to rally the voters behind Tim Stewart and that can help elect Republicans to the council who will right Mayor Stewart's coat tails into office!

This is exactly why under the minority party rule, the majority party is normally only allowed a plurality of one!
maybe some good could come of this, we could run Lou Salvio for the state rep seat vacated by o'brien so we get a good, decent man to replace him in hartford.
O'Brien quitting his seat? Are you kidding? These guys don't have to chose. They run for everything! If O'Brien loses he is still a state rep. If he wins, the d's will rig the system; corrupt it with CCAG money and workers, government and health care union workers and money. They have LEGALLY rigged the system.
We have seen this cookie cutter election before. We now have professional politicians. There aren't too many pols that have real jobs anymore.

ReplyDeleteSo the guy that has had no job other than elected office IN HIS LIFETIME is a suitable "real world" democratic mayoral candidate?
ReplyDeleteGood luck d's!
Pawlak is a more credible candidate.
At least he's a nice guy though!

"Saying" is one thing "doing" is another.
Stewie. Get your campaign going!
Once again, those who don't pay any taxes want to spend the money of those who are left who actually pay taxes.
ReplyDeleteVote for O'Brien and get ready for your taxes to go sky high!
