350 of the world's top environmentalists have already agreed that global warming is nothing but a total fraud being perpetrated on the public by the likes of people like Algore who has already profited personally with over $100 million by selling a hoax to the American public.

Why would anyone believe anything this total phony ever says? Remember he also claims to have personally invented the internet!

I never thought we would see a bigger phony than phony Phil, but here it finally is!

Global warming? After this icy, snowy and frigid winter across the entire U.S., I doubt it!! Could it be the thawing of the icebergs, etc. at the North Pole and other places is caused by a slight shifting of the earth?

Al Gore made his 100 million by serving on the boards of Google and Apple. He was there at the right time. People like Dodd's wife make big bucks, not on the salary paid but the stock options distributed.

Neither one of them had the expertise to serve on these boards. Everything is political.

A short opinion on CO2.

Carbon dioxide alone is not the sole "culprit gas" involved in global warming. As a matter of opinion, it pales in comparison to other gases involved in trapping infra red radiation in Earth's lowere atmosphere, e.g., methane.

Any high school biology student should be able to tell you that carbon dioxide is possibly one of the most important gases on this planet. The major process that makes life possible on Earth is photosynthesis. Through this process, chlorophyll containg green plants, using solar energy, convert CO2 and H2O into glucose. Starting with glucose, all organic compounds are made by plants. Carbohydrates, fats and proteins.

Another process, respiration, -not to be confused with breathing- keeps most living things alive by allowing them to convert organic compunds into energy for life processes. CO2 is a main by-product of respiration. Practically all living things release CO2 as a by-product of respiration.

Don't make the mistake of thinking that all living things have a prearranged agreement with green plants, i.e., green plants produce basic food and animals use it and release CO2 for green plants to make food. That's anthropomorhic. TRUTH? Green plants would get along just fine if there were no other living things on earth; you see, green plants also respire.

If green plants are so very important to life on Earth, think about that the next time we plow up a green field to make a parking lot.

Do living things need CO2? YES! Do they need an overabundance of it? NO! What this writer feels is that we should build more nuclear power plants, etc., and fewer that rely on those fueled by fossil fuels. The public must be the judge.

Well said. How many O2 releasing plants have we killed to make room for another cookie-cutter strip mall every 5 miles!? Don't hear too much about that though do ya? Hmmm... I wonder why that would be? Oh yeah. Money. Now I remember.......
