  1. What a shame that three pools were closed...where will the children go during the summer vacation?
Going to the pools is the best way to cool off, as well as filling a good part of the day. My fondest childhood memories was going to the local pool almost every day...and back then, there was no charge! I predict the time will come when a family needs to belong to a private club to have access to a pool ):

  2. This is like the Depression of the 30's - the worst is yet to come - the food prices keep going up - and the value of the dollar is going down...down...down...all Department in City of Britain trim their budgets...where will the children go during the summer vacation...why not SUMMER SCHOOL...

  3. The camp "Total Wreck" program will be better served at the Willow
Brook pool. The Chesley pool house
was disgusting when I signed my children up for camp several years
ago. I pulled my children out after they reported urine all over
the floor in the bathroom and that
house was used for coverage during
thunder and lightning. The kids were asked to sit on the dirty floor until storms would pass. I checked it out for myself and found
it to be true so I chose to cancel
the program for my children. Maybe...Willow Brook is in better
condition and the kids can also use
the facilities at the high school
    during storms.

  4. what do you mean the value of the dollar is going down, down, down. That isn't true for city employees. Didn't the council just vote a 5% raise for city employees and 8% for every teacher? Did you get a raise this year?

  5. Osgood pool has been closed for years and has been turned into a food pantry! What do you prefer, feeding people or providing swimming in summer weather?

Chesley Pool has been the target of vandals for years; do you remember someone driving a car into it? What do you expect when some people have no respect for something they don't own and/or pay for? It's like everything else people get free they expect rather than respect!
