  1. It's time for a change in New Britain.

  2. Please don't change. He has done a great job in getting Republicans elected as Mayor where Democrats out number Republicans 4 to 1.

  3. Frank,
This exemplifies how much more responsible you are over the leadership of your own party.

I counted 963 stories you have posted on this site, and you have never had to apologize to the Herald, the Courant, or any other news agency for misquoting their story, and yet certain leaders of the New Britain Democratic Party do nothing but attack you, while at the same time their own chairman is twisting quotes from the Herald to suit his ultra left wing agenda.

Just another fine example of why "we the people" are growing so tired of the party leadership and especially the council Democrats.

Keep up the "fair and balanced" reporting.

  4. It's a time for change, all right..a change of Council Members at election time...vote out the Democrats. Keep the Mayor and 2 Republican Aldermen.

  5. I can see why the local Democratic Party is so messed up with such a professional leader!

  6. It's noticeable that John The Lesser doesn't apologize, he just acknowledges the mistake and says, remember that ours is a partisan publication. What a complete, arrogant jerk.

  7. How come MacNamara is still around?

Didn't he do enough damage as the six-term mayor?

May I suggest that you have the wrong McNamarra. The former Mayor is not the Democratic Chairman the former Mayor first name was William and and the Chairman is John. Incidentally, as I understand it they are not related either.

Isn't this why they call him Little Mac, the Lesser One, to avoid confusion with Big Mac, the good one?

  11. Please!!! Do NOT compare former Mayor William Macnamara with the chairman of the Democratic Town Committee!! William MacNamara (Big Mac) is a man of integrity, John MacNamara (Little Mac) is not. They definitely are not related!!

  12. Night and Day!

William Mc Namara has a long and distinguished political career with service to the community in many capacities including mayor of this fine city.

To my knowledge, John Mc Namara has never amounted to anything politically and never served the city in any capacity other than party chairman if you can consider that anything at all--which I do not.

I would expect that Big Mac is insulted anytime someone even questions a relationship between the two. I know I would be.

  13. I guess that is why he is so frequently referred to as "the lesser one?"

  14. I love the photo of John MacNamara...reminds me of the Beverly Hillbillies..Jeb Clampett. How appropriate

  16. The Democrats would do itself a favor if they put up William MacNamara for Mayor. Get new Town Committee members of his ilk back.
