  2. Bernacki said it was time for some members of the council to “take their ACORN agitator hat off and become a community leader.”

This is a very astute observation by Alderman Bernacki. Through their actions, it is clear that these aldermen are not putting their duty to the people of New Britain first. It is pretty clear whose agenda they are really pursuing on the council.

Lets see how often Sherwood, O'Brien, McNamara, Trueworthy and company slander the developers and current administration with innuendos and then try to paint the sale as a benefit to city republicans. Such as the way the chairman of the Democratic Party insinuated that Mayor Stewart refused to speak to Reps from WAL-MART!!!.................. These guys will stop at nothing to destroy the current administration including poisoning a potential development that may be the impetus for future investment and development in town..........

See you in November my friends!

  4. Why would someone in their right mind vote for people like this ever again? Their allegiance is to their party and its futile attempts to take down Stewart and his administration. Stop smoking crack Mike and Phil and do something positive for the city we are taking notice!

  5. The Democrats membership of the city council needs to stop the in fighting against the administration's proposals and start working in a positive way for the benefit of those who voted you in office.

Or you may be surprised this coming November.

  6. Alderman Bernacki raised a very good point. You have one alderman who is a full time paid agitator and yet another one who is on the board of directors of the same agitator organization. Do you think they are serving on the council to protect your interests or possibly the interests of ACORN like organizations?

  7. If anyone wants to find conspiracies, start examining the relationship between Phil Sherwood, Sylvia Cruz and Chris Murphy.

  8. I attended Tuesday's meeting, and couldn't believe my ears....Phil Sherwood is the most insulting, stupid person who ever "served" on the common council. He is an embarrassment to the citizens of New Britain. It was obvious he was/is against the current prospective buyer even before they were given the chance to make any presentation...what's on your agenda, Phil? You want to develop Pinnacle Heights yourself? Are you in collusion with a firm that didn't make it?

Ask Phil Sherwood about his ethnic slur against Italians - better still, ask Jim Craven.

  11. I guess it is becoming more obvious that his agenda appears to be something other than the best interests of the city.

Perhaps Jim Craven would like to elaborate on Sherwood's ethnic slur...it might open up some more eyes. But, Mr. Craven seems too much of a gentleman to do so...not like his predecessor, who let himself be taken in by the likes of Sherwood...

  13. I heard through the grapevine that Eva actually had a question, or was it just the head agitator speaking through her?
