President Obama's approval rating has dropped to 47 percent, a new low, according to the Rasmussen Reports daily tracking poll.
The survey released Thursday showed 52 percent of those polled disapprove of Obama's performance, while 47 percent at least somewhat approve.
The poll appears to reflect the growing discontent over the health care reform push on Capitol Hill, as well as the continuing challenge Obama faces in trying to turn public opinion.
The new survey showed 42 percent favor the Democrats' health care plan, while 53 percent oppose it.
