Trueworthy was quoted as saying we lost 1.4 million dollars this week and all The Herald can report is name calling.
The 1.4 million dollars is in reference to the Hospital Garage? We didn't lost any monies with regard to the lease at the garage and these lies reported to the paper need to stop. The lease is scheduled to end in 2013 as was set-forth in 1986. At the end of the lease the garage will revert back to the Hospital. The hospital simply decided not to pre-pay the city for the final years of the lease with an advance payment. The money will still be paid for the remaining term. Why are some members of the council making up things to confuse the public during an election year?
