He has pleaded not guilty, and the court date is scheduled for 11/12/209

very good point independent voter, if you fail to register your car, then the tax collector would even know about it, would she?
They make it a point of doing whatever they want, so are motor vehicle laws that much different?
Perhaps he was busy trying to edit his latest mailer? Don't get me wrong, I'm not blaming the man for getting a ticket, I've had a few nightmare tickets before. But driving an unregistered vehicile? That means he was either trying to avoid the registration fees and the taxes or he was too incompentent to get his registration renewed on time. Either case it is a character trait I wouldn't want in an elected official.
Trueworthy simply didn't follow through with his registration like
the audit paperwork he didn't remember having received. He babbles along and simply doesn't have his act together. Look, he was picked up for driving distracted? I somewhat feel sorry for him when I see him on the council. My mom (who lives in another town) stopped to watch Nutmeg TV and called to ask who the tall guy on our council is that doesn't make any sense and talks forever about nothing?
Maybe he should consider stepping down and spending some time getting a little more sleep or something...
Alderman Phil Sherwood was quoted as saying: "I categorically deny that Mike Trueworthy is doing any kind of drugs" (Councillors concerned over Trueworthy's behavior; by James Craven, May 12, 2009).
isn't that just another case of the "untouchables" being above the law?
Alderman Larry Hermanowski reportedly also noticed changes that have left him concerned with the party leadership on the Common Council. "He is not the Mike Trueworthy that I knew four or five years ago" Hermanowski said. Hermanowski said his major concern was Trueworthy's inability to finish a complete thought while addressing the council or any other group. Hermanowski said he dismissed any rumors of drug or alcohol abuse by Trueworthy, but referred any questions on that matter to Alderman Phil Sherwood, because of their friendship (Councillors concerned over Trueworthy's behavior; by James Craven, May 12, 2009).

This congers up memories of Rick Lopes, whose car was registered in West Hartford while he supposedly lives/lived in New Britain.
Too bad the court date isn't being held before electio day.
How about Gerratana who was living in the pool house (IN BERLIN) at his father's house while elected to the council in New Britain. They ran around and bought a house in New Britain once it became public that the pool house was in Berlin.

How come there has been no mention of Trueworthy's driving problems in/by the Herald? He has to go to court 0n Nov. 12th.

Good question! The infractions occurred in May, and wasn't reported in the Herald? Why is it just coming out now? Why wasn't the court date sooner? Makes me wonder if he's guilty, and doesn't want it known before Nov. 3. Is it all in who you know???

Erin stewart is not fat but she will be singing when her dad is re-elected along with the stewart team. I read alot of the mailers and read the papers and asked my questions and the stewart team has it hands down. I put aside my feelings about o'Brien he let me down not once but three time when I went to him for help, but the tax bill did it for me lies and it wasn't the first one. We own a multifamily so yes we got hit but you pick up the phone ask question to the tax collector or the mayor why. The mayor was not behind your taxes going up .Great mailer Ms Swan Its was nice to see you are not just a advocate but hands on Ill be in touch to help. Good luck.
