Jobless Rate Reaches 9.8 Percent in September

If laid-off workers who have settled for part-time work or have given up looking for new jobs are included, the unemployment rate rose to 17 percent, the highest on records dating from 1994.

  2. The labor department has just announced that the September jobless rate is the lowest since June of 1983, when we were still working to recover from 4 years of Jimmy Carter's destruction!

  3. As a matter of fact now that I think of it didn't Connecticut lose a few hundred jobs at "Fuel Cell Energy" - the manufacturer of fuel cells located in the town of Enfield CT as result of increased taxation on business firms voted on Tim O'Brien’s watch at the state capital in Hartford.
