O'Brien seems to be trying to blame everyone but himself for the rising property taxes, and he is more to blame than anyone else involved.
Since the increases are due to state mandated re-evaluation, and he was a state legislator at the time, he had the most authority to do something to stop it, but what did he do?
NOTHING, and now he attempts to lay blame on everyone else's doorstep through false accusations, instead of accepting responsibility for his own failure to fix the problem.
Amen to that! You should have heard O'Brien spend precious minutes saying nothing and yet cranking out lies and half truths. E.G., after being rebuffed by a school dept. emplyee who is a candidate for Council who said there are no overcrowded middle schools, Democrat candidates for Council and Tim O'Brien kept insisting that the middle schools are overcrowded.
That is why O'Brien will not let himself be recorded, because you can then hold him to his promises made during the campaign, and once elected, you can expect him to do little besides repaying his radical base for their support by pushing whatever deals the radical extremists want, when they come knocking on his door in their red shirts?
Looking at sheer numbers you are left with the impression that this election is O'Brien's for the buying. In most cases this is true, but just because one candidate is able to raise more money doesn't mean anything. In fact, I'll argue that the more money a candidate takes from certain groups, the more that candidate is shackled to the interests of the people writing his or her checks. This produces a severely manipulated and whipped political creature.
The low turnout for the Pizza fundraiser is due to the cold, rainy weather that day/evening. Of course, the inclement weather is all the Republican party's fault!! ROTFLMAO

ReplyDeleteI heard that the fund raiser Pizza party for the Democrats had to be canceled because of lack of interest, if that is the reason, isn't that pathetic?

ReplyDeleteIt couldn't possibly be that the public is rejecting O'Brien as their Mayor, could it?
