Linda McMahon Answers Questions For New Britain Republican Party

Linda McMahon, former CEO of the WWE, and Republican candidate for U.S. Senate, challenging Chris Dodd for his seat in the 2010 election, came to "Team Stewart" headquarters on Monday night to speak to local Republicans and other supporters of "Team Stewart."

During a question and answer period, Ms. McMahon was asked about her position on Cap & Trade. Her response was that she was completely against it, because she believes it will increase the cost of living for our citizens.

Regarding Health Care Reform, Ms. McMahon said she is not in favor of the proposed plan, but is very concerned about finding a way to make health care available to those who have lost their jobs. She further elaborated that the present plan needs a complete review to eliminate the anticipated high cost.

Ms. McMahon said she is proud to return to New Britain, because her and her husband first started off purchasing a condo in Brittany Farms, and as a result, New Britain will always be a special place to her.

Ms. McMahon seemed to be well received by the crowd, who was mainly here at campaign headquarters on Washington Street to show their support for Tim Stewart and his team in the election on Tuesday. I decided not to report this news until after the election, so as not to distract from the important issues facing New Britain in the local election.

  2. I want Dodd out, as I have had for years, but not to someone who is buying the title of senator. I mean," What the heck, I have more money than I can ever spend, I will run for senator!"

It shouldn't work that way. How about another business man, Tom Foley?

  5. Having: WWE is World Wrestling Entertainment, where almost naked men try to dominate each other on nationwide TV.
