  1. This is totally not acceptable. we have enough problems in this school district without promoting sex.

  2. In my oppinion I don't think they are promoting sex T.V. and peers do enough of that. It's more about preventing teen pregnancy.

    ReplyDelete
  3. I'm interested to know just how many condoms will be passed out? A dozed at a time? I hope the board takes into consideration that condoms will NOT prevent STDs.
Oh well, anyone thought about classes in abstinance? Probably not.

  4. Is this suggested at both the junior and senior high school levels? Teen pregnancy prevention services are widely accepted in most inner cities as an important
necessity. For every pregnancy that is avoided, allowing a young woman to mature, graduate from school and become a productive adult is an immeasurable cost savings to the welfare system. A little prevention cost goes along way.

Referrals to abortion clinics once a pregnancy has already occured is an entirely different situation and this item should not be included under "birth control". The public school system should not be recommending destroying an un-born life just as the U.S. goverment should not include such
an item in any government insurance
    bills.

  5. The recommendation also includes birth control, in addition to condoms.

  6. Abortion as an option is totally unacceptable!
The best birth control is abstinance...the students should be taught this.

  7. The handing out of condoms would be adding to the moral decay of our present society. Dr, Ayalon you were elected to serve the community and not to corrupt this generation Most of the young adults are young men and women.

STOP trying to use the students in the system for you sick ideas.

Now, if you wanted to add classes on morals, ethics and ABSTANCE I'm behind you 100%.

  10. This article is just another example of the news the Herald will not print when it shows the truth about the liberal extremists that their editorial board obviously worships.

Thank God that we have someone like Frank Smith to keep us informed. If we left it up to the worthless Herald, we would all be left in the dark about what these lunatics want to do with our children.

  11. Maybe instead of complaining on your computer you should come to the meeting on the 15 of March at 7pm and VOICE your opinion to the Board of Education There are people on the Board that will listen and act on your complaint.

Dr. Avalon: I do not need to come to complain at your next Board of Education Meeting as you suggested since I am sure all your fellow board members have already read my blog along with the board's administration.

So thank you for your suggestion.
    Sincerely,

Dr. Ayalon: I do not need to come to your Board meeting to voice my complaint as you suggest since most of your board members have read my blog along with the school administrators.

but thank you for your sarcastic suggestion.

    Sincerely,

  14. Sure, come to the meeting to voice your concerns so Sherwood's minions can ignore everything the public has to say and ram it through on a radical partisan vote anyway.

I wouldn't waste my time or my breath, since these liberal activists who are indoctrinating our children to embrace socialism are going to do whatever they want to push their radical agenda.

  15. To "SURE"

You have a rotten attitude. Don"t you understand that people like you have allowed the liberals to do what they want. All you kind does is sit back and complain and they do NOTHING about anything.

YOU need a serious attitude adjustment.

Give it a chance and come to the meeting, don't say anything and see what happens. Guaranteed you be be surprised.

    ReplyDelete
  16. How many of us have been to the meetings and spoken out, and the whacked out liberal majority ignores the public and rams whatever they want down our throats?

Look at the huge turn out at the council to oppose the appointment of that nut job Leslie Jacobs to the Board, and Sherwood and his brainless followers ignored the 60 plus people who spoke against her and rammed her appointment through. She was supposedly being installed to get a handle on the budget, and then was absent from the budget meeting.

That is the kind of elitist attitude you can expect from these nut jobs.

Maybe they will vote to give out tubes of lube with every condom!

    ReplyDelete
  17. Maybe this doctor would suggest making recess into a daily love fest?

    ReplyDelete
  18. When did the Democrats on the council approve paying for abortions in the city budget?

It is currently illegal to use federal funds to pay for abortions, so they must be using city taxpayer dollars to pay for these free abortions?

How did Sherwood sneak this one through on the taxpayers??

    ReplyDelete
  19. Apparently the Democrats can just do whatever they want with our money.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Maybe they should be handing out more homework.

    ReplyDelete
  21. If kids eat free breakfast and lunch at school, go to free afterschool programs, and now they will be supplied free birth control and advice on abortions what's left for a parent to do??? I wonder why our schools have no money for school supplies and such. Hey at least little Johnny will be well fed and exercised when he is bringing little Sue to the abortion clinic after his school supplied condom slipped off.

The only problem I see is will he be able to read the map to get him there!

    ReplyDelete
  22. I have been out of town and just started to catch up on the news.

I can see now what wrong with our universities. We have Professors like Dr. Ayalon instructing our young adults how to disrupt and demoralize our HS students.

Handing out condoms is promoting sex. Pure and simple. Anyone can offer lame excuses. Using condoms does NOT 199% prevent anything.

If you wonder about Dr, Ayalon try Google his name.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Certain members of the Board of education must not be aware of there sworn duty to the taxpayers in this city.

Taxpayers should not have to support programs that they morally find objectionable.

When overall sexual activity increases as a result of encouraging "safe sex"the number of people occasionally engaging in risky behavior will increase and the risk of problems spreading will increase with it.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Taxpayers should not have to support programs that they morally find objectionable...

Taxpayers find providing school children with access to abortions to be morally objectionable???

How about dolling out birth control pills like Chicklets?

One question, if they are practicing safe sex, why do they need birth control pills???

Sounds like you are about to see a spike in HIV cases among teens in New Britain, as once you give all the girls free birth control pills, the condoms are going out the window.

I hope that after Church you lingered and discussed the happenings of the past week. Especially the deplorale proposal to be presented yo the Board of Education regarding the handing out of condoms, birth control pills and referral of students to abortion clinic.

I hope that whoever gave your sermon inspired you enough to attend the Board of Education and voice your opinion to not give out condoms in school, and birth control pills and not give referral to abortion clinics/

It is time for the people to speak out and stop letting the liberal education people like this DR. Ayalon run your live and your children's lives.

Perhaps, kids requesting birth control pills and abortion information should be required - at least - to give a working phone number and mail address of the parent that is their legal guardian. The parent must be called and the info mailed to that parent.

Anonymous: I thought the whole idea behind all this was for these liberals to assist 12 year olds in getting abortions without their parent's knowledge???????

How about the school system keeping their noses out of such affairs. Isn't this kind of stuff the parent's responsibility. How did the schools get involved in teaching children to have sex and get abortions???????

principal Joseph Sullivan knows at least part of the reason there's been such a spike in teen pregnancies in this Massachusetts fishing town. School officials started looking into the matter as early as October, after an unusual number of girls began filing into the school clinic to find out if they were pregnant. By May, several students had returned multiple times to get pregnancy tests, and on hearing the results, "some girls seemed more upset when they weren't pregnant than when they were," Sullivan says. All it took was a few simple questions before nearly half the expecting students, none older than 16, confessed to making a pact to get pregnant and raise their babies together. Then the story got worse. "We found out one of the fathers is a 24-year-old homeless guy," the principal says, shaking his head..........

  38. How did schools get involved in sex education, abortion referral, and teen pregnancy education support. Simple, we still have to educate pregnant girls and their partners just as we must educate incarcerated students. It's our obligation and it costs money. We have to seperate them if they need it, we have to establish programs for their children once they arrive. This all costs taxpayer dollars. An ounce of prevention goes along way on this topic, is a win, win for everybody. Most importantly for the child that is prevented from being born into a sub-standard living condition that is also dependent on taxpayer dollars. Just check with the MOMS program at the hospital. They currently have a regular class of pregnant girls they are counseling.

  39. To independent voter.

To say that 24 misguided children that have no morals and evidently have parents that keep their heads buried in the sand should be guideline for the MILLIONS of good and honest and moral students is ludicrous.

    Therefore it IS STUPID.

  42. why are taxpayers paying someone 90 grand a year to hand out birth control pills like chicklets?

Maybe Governor Rell needs to look into how our state is spending our money paying ridiculous people like this guy to push an extremist position onto our children.

Apparently this guy forgot, like most bureaucrats that he works for us, not the other way around.

  43. The questions that are being posed here are all good but the main question is that all of us should be asking.

Why is Dr Ayalon trying to take away the rights of the parents. Why does he believe that the parents cannot be replaced by administrators or teachers. I would like to hear the reason, does he think we are stupid.

Come on Ayalon speak up !!!!

    ReplyDelete
  44. Ayalon appears to be pushing the cradle to grave nanny state where government controls all aspects of your life.

This appears to me to be little more than an attempt at socialist indoctrination of the students by putting the government between the children and their parents on important issues like premarital sex, birth control, and abortions. When these liberals get through with their radical plans, parents will have no say in whether their 13 year old children have abortions. You will be told it is none of your business what your child does so long as the government approves!

    ReplyDelete
  45. Talk is cheap. It is time we took our city back from the liberals. This Dr, Ayalon is a form of Sherwood on the city council

Shouldn't these matters be private matters between you and your child, and not dictated by the government?
