Does anyone care? The RTC was so desperate, they had several independents and at least one democrat on their slate in November.
ReplyDeleteThen, with all of the republicans from which to choose, they nominate and elect two independents who lost in November and became republicans for what reason, their own self aggrandizement? As I said, who cares?

MAYBE YOU WILL BE THE ONE THAT WILL CARE COME NOVEMEBR 2011 LOCAL ELECTIONS WHEN YOU GET REPLACED BY A LOCAL REPUBLICAN.........CANDIDATE.
CHEW ON THAT NOTION FOR A WHILE MR. DEMOCRATIC ALDERMAN.
Good for you, Frank...a Democratic Alderman who wishes to remain anonymous? Why is he afraid to identify himself? Is it because people will see him for who/what he really is?

ReplyDeleteRepublicans have always been a doormat in this city, you will always be a small minority representing the
west end
There are some here who may recall that in the mid 1940's, New Britain was a predominantly Republican city...it's just a matter of time before it returns to that status.

Yeah,Live in the past my friend, and
dream about the future. But dont forget to wake up from your sleep
Interesting that when the Democrats reach out across party lines it is called "bipartisanship" but when the Republicans do the same it is because they are "desperate." This of course coming from the Democratic Town Committee who nominated Bielinski over a long time incumbent only to watch the people overturn their 'wise council' in the primary.
ReplyDeleteI also find it interesting that an Alderman would choose to post such hateful rhetoric anonymously. One would think they could actually bother identifying themselves.
OK You all jumped on that email as if a democratic alderman wrote it. Frankly, they are not that smart. I am a republican. Not one word of those statements were false. The RTC did, indeed, nominate independents and democrats. My guess is that if they did their homework, they would have found good republicans to fill these spots.
ReplyDeleteOnce Carver got his job and his wife's job and promoted his kids through his BOE experience. He did not care about anyone else.
They were desperate for replacements. Really pathetic. My next move will be to become an independent as so many good people have done.
