The Federal government is quick to act send civil rights investigators to see if the local law enforcement is violating the law but can't seem to act as quickly to stop the illegal immigrants. It also seems funny that all the protests against this bill was violent in nature but no one is reporting on that. The TEA Party which has been very peaceful has been reported to be violent by the media. What is wrong with these reporters; do they work for the government or Obama?
This should have the liberals unhinged, because there is nothing they love more than handcuffing the cops at every turn.
I can hardly wait for all the media images of the poor undocumented Americans (criminal illegal aliens) being locked up in their pink underwear and forced to eat bologna sandwiches for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
My heart really bleeds for these criminals who belong behind bars!
WASHINGTON — Backed into a corner by Arizona's tough new immigration law, Democrats and Republicans alike find themselves grappling with a volatile issue neither political party wanted to fight over just before important midterm congressional elections in 2010.
As lawmakers learned during the last national debate on immigration, in 2007, the issue incites passions across the country, affecting everything from national security to states' rights to racial ambitions and resentments. It's fraught with political minefields.
Thus, President Barack Obama and the Democrats who control Congress and Republicans who are in the minority are doing a delicate two-step dance, mindful not to anger their political constituents.
Liberals are simply against anything that holds lawbreakers accountable.
Too bad for these zealots that the Supreme Court has already ruled in favor of police officers stopping and investigating anyone they have reason to suspect is in the country illegally. According to the Supreme Court ruling, any police officer may stop anyone he has reasonable suspicion to believe is an illegal alien (criminal who belongs in prison) solely for the purpose of determining their eligibility to be in this country.
All the Arizona law does is allow the police to lock them all up once they determine the person is a criminal by simply being here, no matter how long they have been thumbing their nose at our laws!
Once they start locking these criminals up, wait and see how fast Arizona's immigration problem goes away by itself. They have already documented that most of these thugs travel hundreds of miles to avoid Maricopa County. I wonder why that is??????
Utah is working on passing a similar law to Arizona's.
Looks like several states will most likely follow suit. It is about time these criminals were locked up. They should be jailed for 20 years, and then deported once they finish their sentences! You then would need to open the borders as millions flee back to Mexico!
WTIC's poll today shows 94% of Connecticut residents support Arizona's illegal immigration law:
A New Law In Arizona Allows Law Enforcement Officers To Check The Immigration Status Of Someone Detained For Another Reason, Such As A Traffic Violation. Would You Support Such A Policy? Yes ( 94% ) No ( 6% )
The Obama video shows how truly desperate the Democratic party has become. The problem those new 2008 voters no longer support Obama because they figured out he lied during his entire campaign. The November 2010 mid-election can't come soon enough.
The Democrats know they are in trouble. That is why they are pushing cap and trade, immigration, and financial bill.
That whacked out loons in San Francisco are threatening to boycott Arizona in protest of a law that holds criminals accountable, so Rush Limbaugh had a great suggestion:
Instead of imprisoning these criminals, why doesn't Arizona round them all up and ship them to San Francisco?
That should make Pelosi and her lunatic fringe ecstatic!
WASHINGTON: Obama takes Arizona immigration reform off agenda...
Arizona Immigration reform has become the first of President Barack Obama's major priorities dropped from the agenda of an 2010 election-year Congress facing voter disillusionment.
The president noted that lawmakers may lack the "appetite" to take on immigration while many of them are up for re-election and while another big legislative issue — climate change — is already on their plate.
"I don't want us to do something just for the sake of politics that doesn't solve the Arizona problem," Obama told reporters Wednesday night 04/29/10 aboard Air Force One.
Immigration reform was an issue Obama promised Latino groups that he would take up in his first year in office. But several hard realities — a tanked economy, a crowded agenda, election-year politics and lack of political will — led to so much foot-dragging in Congress that, ultimately, Obama decided to set the Arizona issue aside.
With that move, the president calculated that an immigration bill would not prove as costly to his party two years from now, when he seeks re-election, than it would today, even though some immigration reformers warned that a delay could so discourage Democratic-leaning Latino voters that they would stay home from the polls in November 2010 mid-election.

I'l bet Joe Arpaio has the pink underwear factory in China working overtime (of course for 15 cents an hour because there are no unions in China!)
