It appears to me that most Bristol officials are really not interested in doing anything positive about promoting the rail line concept through Bristol. Apparently they would rather direct their energies into scuttling the Hartford/New Britain Busway Project. This kind of thinking on the part of Bristol Officials and New Britain's own Senator DeFronzo is misguided, counterproductive and a slap in the face to Connecticut. It is also a negative to jobs production for our State. Bristol has wasted much time on unsuccessful efforts to remake its central business district. Instead of getting that project moving the Bristol officials spend most of their time playing "dog in the manger" with regard to the Busway. Small wonder that business people seem to have lost confidence in Connecticut's ability to retain and grow it's business community.
