Dr. Kurtz Unfortunate public comments
FRANKSMITHSAYSNB EDITORIAL:
Dr. Kurtz stated, in the New Britain Herald account on 5-6-10, "However, said the vast majority of Board members did not want contraceptives in the schools but the board cannot make a decision based only on the number of people who speak at a meeting".
it is amazing that this comment was made by Doctor Kurtz especially when Frank Smith Says NB listed 62 comments from concerned citizens and parents with their taken issue with Dr. Aram Ayalon's proposal to hand CONDOMS,BIRTH CONTOL PILLS,AND PROVIDE ABORTIONS, FOR THE STUDENTS NO MATTER WHAT AGE THEY MAY BE.
Maybe Dr. Kurtz Should visit http://franksmithsaysnb.blogspot.com before making uninformed public comments as quoted by todays Herald's article.
The best contraceptive yet is the word "NO"!! And it doesn't cost anything, not to mention it's part of a moral code...How about teaching morals in school?
ReplyDeleteProblem is, whose morals would be taught?
ReplyDeleteDemocrats apparently stand for doing whatever you want and if you get knocked up, the school will help you get an abortion. When do the conjugal visits begin during recess in the elementary schools??
ReplyDeleteinstead of recess, they will now be called love fests!
ReplyDeleteAll of a sudden you don't hear any more about the birth control pills these liberals wanted to hand out like chicklets or the abortions they wanted the school to arrange for 12 year olds.
ReplyDeleteIf parents are not careful, you will end up like Wahshington state where not only do 12 year olds not need a parent's consent to get abortions, but it is illegal for the doctor to tell the 12 year old's parents.
In a letter to the editor in Thursday's Herald, Dr. Kurtz oints out well over 20 innovations in New Britain schools for which she takes credit and gloats. Not one of these innovations has even made a modicum of difference in the performance of NB students on CMTs or CAPTs. Yes, there have been many innovations; teachers barely have a chance to get used to one when another is thrust upon them. Change for the sake of change accomplishes nothing!
ReplyDeleteBest example currently on the table is the fiasco being perpetrated by the wacko Dr. Ayalon, to wit, birth control uber alles. Don't teach self control, instead teach birth control!
I guess the BOE has dropped their plans to provide abortions to teenagers without the knowledge of parents, and to hand out birth control pills like candy? Both of those ideas seem to have disappeared.
