As was said in the editorial, Blumey would have been better off had he simply apologized. When an individual running for office feels he has to dance around the truth semantically to make himself respectable, that's unfortunate and doesn't cut it for me. Since he has announced his candidacy, Blumey has stumbled every time he has been questioned about his "strengths" as a candidate. Yet, his fellow liberal democrats will probably nominate him. Go figure.
