This article is not telling people anything that they haven't seen right here in little old New Britain. All of our Democrat State legislators, DeFronzo, O'Brien, Tercyak and Geragosian are "liberally" - no pun intended - supported by these two, huge left wing unions, AFSCME and SEIU and the supposedly defunct and infamous, ACORN. The Working Families Party is an affiliate of all of these unions.
Locally also, our Common Council Democrats also receive huge amounts of support. Trueworthy, Sherwood, Catanzaro, Hermanowski, etc., are all beneficiaries of WFP support. Sherwood's wife is a AFSCME employee. In his Mayoral run last year, Tim O'Brien received much out of state support from AFSCME, SEIU and the WFP. It's one big happy family. Democrat & Reublican State nominating conventions were held this past weekend. Soon you will see which candidates are supported by these Unions. It will be only the Democrats!
Where has the common sense gone, the average hard working american should know that anyone who is running for office that accepts money from the unions is not going to represent there best interest, but only the interest of the unions, who are putting this city, state and country out of business! WAKE UP
We really need a governor like New Jersey has in Chris Christie. We also need a law like he has, giving the governor the authority to just void union contracts anytime he declares a state of emergency. Christie has voided all state employees contracts, and is telling them what hourly rates he will pay them, and they have no choice but to take it. The union has absolutely no say in the new pay rates!
