Every time you drive past the empty building where Walmart once was, you can thank Sherwood, O'Brien, Catanzaro, and even Dick "sue businesses out of existence" Blumenthal participated in one of the radical protests!
The Alderman should be happy it wasn't former V.P. Dick Cheney making the threat....
Seriously, is this alderman really that thin skinned? Our elected officials, local, state, and federal alike, need to stop the pettyness and being overly sensitive, and start looking out for the interests of those they represent.
I don't blame Walmart for leaving especially after they saw the best that the city had to offer them in the way of representation in local government: Sherwood, Trueworthy, Catanzaro, O'Brien, Blumenthal.
These people don't seem to understand they represent the employers, like Walmart, who are creating all the jobs. Instead they demonize those rich business owners every chance they can. The attitude seems to be that anyone who owns a business deserves to be punished for having more than someone else who is on welfare, and they wonder why no one wants to move to this city?
I never will understand the liberal mindset that punishing the people who create the jobs is somehow good. They seem to somehow think if we slam employers with huge new taxes, tie their hands with new regulations, and force union contracts upon them, that these employers are going to create more jobs no matter how much it costs them simply out of the goodness of their hearts.
Maybe he is just coming unhinged because his president has now achieved the lowest approval rating of any president in more than 200 years! Obama will now go down in the history books as the worst president ever! At this time in his presidency, George W. Bush had more than twice the approval rating! 72% of Americans now say they wish Bush was still president! The American people are rejecting radical liberalism which is why the tea parties are effective!
He did get his way with running Walmart out of town, and the 150 jobs they took with them, but it looks like he is not going to get his way with ramming through a massive tax increase on the backs of the property owners just to fund more of his brand of socialism. It is about time that the people paying the bills for all your childish B.S. pushed back and said enough of your baby games.
Why don't go curl up in your crib and suck your thumb?
Frank, you should have found a pic of Sherwood sucking his thumb!

It's all the fault of those evil rich people!
