We're encouraging residents to come out and show their support. The event
is scheduled August 19, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Quartette Club,
225 Wooster Street, New Britain.
Light refreshments will be served.
Candidates Cris Carillo, Henry Zembko and James Griffin will be on hand to
answer questions, talk about the issues confronting local taxpayers and
share their solutions.
This is a great opportunity for local residents to come out and encourage
these candidates to address the issues that are important to all of us. It
is critical, this year more than any, that we elect representatives who
share our desire for smaller government, reduced taxes and controlled
spending.
Dwight F. Blint, Chairman
New Britain Republican Town Committee
Unfortunately I will not be able to attend this meeting, but if I was able, I would start by:
ReplyDeleteAsking them what they plan to do to help create jobs in our State.
Asking them what they plan to do to make Connecticut friendlier towards businesses.
Asking them what they plan to do to make Connecticut friendlier towards families.
Asking them what they plan to do about illegal aliens within our State.
Asking them what they plan to do about adequately funding education.
I would also encourage them to take a firm stand for the goals and values of the Republican Party and fight vigorously those who are attempting to weaken our Great Nation and State with their socialistic agenda.
This is a great opportunity to meet the candidates for the state legislature...However, Helen Berghenty who is running for the 22nd is not mentioned...she is opposing Betty Boukous, who has accomplished a lot for New Britain.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wste of time. How much better if all Republican candidates from governor down could be available. I won't waste my time. Who are these people anyway?
ReplyDeleteI didn't see anything in the Herald about this meeting. Did the republican chairman put it in there? Not everyone accesses the computer or blogs. Lets not be elitist and cater only to computer literate people.\
ReplyDeleteOh Look Lil Mac, Phil, Mike or slimmy Tim O chimed in. And just so you know....They are your replacements, and your partys other lackies replacements.... Also nice to see you didnt chime in under the name "ghost" like you do on the Herald. Get some class , write about issues, care about the citizens needs, and stop being a shill for the unions and maybe, just maybe, someone might listen to you. Instead of doing the actions of a 5 year old, like name calling because thats all you can do. And if you have noticed, none of them have been arrested, lied, stole or tried to use the city and its money for twisted agenda like the NB DTC has. So there is the beef Phil, Stop living in a vacume Mike,Look for a new Job Tim (not in politics) and lastly and least you John are not Billy !!!!
