A response to the NBDTC Chairman

Frank: This was my ANONYMOUS RESPONSE TO LITTLE MAC’S LETTER TO THE EDITOR TODAY.

" John McNamara is at it again; there is a municipal election coming in November of 2011 and John is looking to spearhead yet another delay of a project planned during the administration of Tim Stewart. The police station project has been in the planning stages for years and Democrats are desperate for a campaign talking point; at the most recent Council meeting, Democrats led by Larry Hermanowski, Trueworthy and Sherwood tried to block additional funding for the police station. Interestingly, the Herald announced today that New Britain had received the $10 million that would have been lost had the Democrats succeeded. Given the fiascos that Democrats have perpetrated recently - remember the threat thing from Sherwood - this move by McNamara is not surprising.
At the most recent Council meeting, Democrats, led by Trueworthy and Sherwood also blocked the purchase of two badly needed mowers for the Golf Course. Interestingly again, they voted in favor of the P&R budget for 2010-2011. The money for the mowers would have come from Special Revenue Funds and not from the city's General Fund Budget. Yet another partisan blunder by the Democrats. I guess the Ds feel it's better to let the Golf Course fail. Stay tuned folks, more to come. "

  3. Who is going to read it to little mack--the lesser one? It has too many big words for a small minded person like him to ever understand.

  4. Imagine that, the childish Democrats would rather turn down $10 million in state funding over letting the mayor or the governor look good.

They actually attempted to refuse $10 million, which would have forced the rest of us to ante up the $10 million in higher taxes, all in their pursuit of their radical socialist agenda.

Isn't it just about time to replace these radical extremists with elected representatives who will for the first time put the needs of the city before their own agenda?

  5. Does anyone else understand that the Democrats controlling the council just tried to refuse $10 million in state funding, that would otherwise have to be raised through property taxes, simply to keep the mayor from succeeding in building the police station so they could use that as an issue against the mayor in next year's election?

Have you ever heard anything more irresponsible or childish?

  6. Lib Dems are much smarter than ordinary conservative folk like us, which is why we are always baffled by their thought processes.

Guess what? Word has it that the Council Democrats are going to take one or two items from every Council meeting agenda from now on to pick at to try to embarrass the Mayor and the Republicans on the Council. This is supposedly to try to divert any more attention from the Sherwood/Trueworthy fiasco when Sherwood claimed his life was threatened by the Mayor and also when Sherwood made same false accusations against the Police. All this in retaliation for the Mayor not wanting to have leadership meetings with the Dems. Talk about childish?

  8. What is worse is that Little Mac and and couple of other Big Mouths. a few years ago when planning for all of this Main St. redevelopment began. Typical! Certain people become architects and city planners after the fact - how cooperative forward looking.

  9. The Democrats have accomplished absolutely nothing for this city, so they can not run on their record. They have none. Since they have absolutely no accomplishments whatsoever, the only thing they can offer for a campaign is their usual nasty vicious attacks. How can anyone even consider voting for such a nasty, rotten bunch of empty individuals???
