With all due respect, does Nick Paonessa have what it takes to keep a local newspaper afloat? It should be interesting to see if he shows up at Thursday's candidate forum and write an article on the event.I would hate to see him go the way of Rick Guiness!!

Why ? He's very much like Guinness, intelligent yet crude, belligerent and foul-mouthed.
Seems like he disappeared around the same time that Sherwood went underground after he met his Waterloo over the budget fiasco that the high and mighty Sherwood created for himself.

I wonder where they both are?
The plot thickens."
Guys like Sherwood and Trueworthy don't disappear! They keep resurfacing like Rick Lopes and Greg Gerratana. Why? Because there are people like DeFronzo around that use them and exploit them to do their dirty work. If you watch last week's Common Council meeting tomorrow night you will see Sherwood, Trueworthy and Hermanowski at work telling lies and trying to block the Mayor from doing his work for the city.
Isn't everyone else getting tired of these radical zealots using their elected offices to block the mayor from accomplishing anything good for the city simply as a way of pushing their own radical extremist agenda, and the public be damned?
These radicals in the Democratic party will destroy anything positive the mayor attempts to accomplish, screwing the taxpayers, simply to prevent the mayor from looking good in the eyes of the public.
The only way to end these childish games, led by their little child leader, is going to have to be to vote these radical extremists out of office once and for all.
We have three papers in NB. One of which is The Herald. I don't see the Republicans putting any information into the Herald. Why not? A lot of people, incljuding me, read it and look for such information.
Only one of these three 'hometown' newspapers has a secret owner who incorporated its parent company in Delaware. Did he do this to avoid the same Connecticut corporate taxes that his editor and editorial board keep saying should be raised?

The Republicans submit information to be published whenever something is coming up for public information. Very rarely do they publish these articles until after the event. The Hartford Courant is more reliable in doing so. Frank Smith is the most reliable source in informing us what the Republicans are planning, such as tonight's forum featuring 3 Republican candidates for state rep.. to be held at the Quartette Club at 6:30
is the 2 they refer to, the herald and frank smith says???

I'll bet more people read Nick Paonessa's paper than the communist propganda put out by that other New Britain rag!
