FRANKSMITHSAYSNB EDITORIAL:
This add purports that Chris Murphy is door knocking to find out what his constituency would like him to vote for in the House of Representatives.
This add is much further from the truth since his town hall meeting, held in Simsbury Conn., this good Representative has been hiding from his voters because they frowned on his voting for everything Reid and Pelosi wanted passed.
He even refused to meet with the seniors of New Britain by staging a meeting in his office with seven people in attendance including a local reporter. What was missing for this reporter's story line was where the seven participants reside, were they all New Britain seniors and not employees of Murphy's staff.
According to former Speaker of the House New Gingrich, the choice for America in this election is between "FOOD STAMP DEMOCRATS" and "PAY CHECK REPUBICANS."
ReplyDeleteNo where in the country could this choice be more evident than in the 5th district.
I've never been a bigger fan of Rob Simmons than I now am:
ReplyDeleteSimmons additionally predicted that three Democratic congressional seats — those of Jim Himes, Chris Murphy and Joe Courtney — will fall to Republican challengers Dan DeBicella, Sam Caligiuri and Ms. Peckinpaugh.

Dick Morris (former Democratic adviser to President Bill Clinton (worked in the Clinton White House) described the campaign that Murphy is running as having no message and no campaign--simply nothing to offer the voters.
ReplyDeleteMurphy can't run on the economy or claim that the stimulus worked. Murphy's district has the highest unemployment rate of the 5 districts in CT.
Murphy can't run on his vote for Cap & Trade (Cap & Tax) a measure that will cause huge increases in the costs of gasoline and utilities--Obama himself said that under his Cap & Trade plan utility costs would intentionally skyrocket--his words. Murphy voted for this, but how could this possibly help his district to force huge increases in utility costs upon his businesses.
Can he run on his support for Obamacare, and his promise that it didn't go far enough to insert the government between you and your doctor and his promise that if he is re-elected, he will get a government run health care passed? Polls show that 70% of Americans oppose Obamacare and at least 60% want it repealed. Of course Murphy refused to even meet with his constituents on this one, demonstrating he couldn't care less what the people want, and that he is going to do what he wants whether we like it or not.
As Dick Morris put it, he will lose his election because like the rest of the Democrats in Washington, he has no message, no record he can run on, and offers nothing to his voters but forcing more of his socialist ideology down our throats.
