c'mon Dick is a fighter (with six deferments), would not have voted for the stimulus (even though the state delegation voted 99% with Reid/Pelosci on ALL issues), no mention of NO BUDGET and NO TAX CUTS, minimum wage (if Dick is SO concerned why not advocate $20 per hour, hell make it $50 per hour...after all he is a fighter), profits are evil (even though they are used to HIRE people...oh maybe that's why the minimum isn't $50?), Linda actually using her own money to run for office (instead of using other people's money). With all of Dick's career politician baggage Linda could have done more.
Republican U.S. Senate candidate Linda McMahon began airing a new TV ad that hits Democratic opponent Richard Blumenthal on his misstatements about his military service. NO VFW veteran?
The 30-second spot, which begins airing just hours before the TV debate between the two candidates, contains a new snippet of footage of AG Blumenthal talking about his military service at an event in Bridgeport CT in April, 2003. Blumenthal, a Marine reservist, served stateside, not in Vietnam - NO VFW veteran?
Editor Smith of The New Britain Herald be on vacation again. There's gonna be hell to pay when he returns and reads this blasphemy commentary of Scott Whippie "MINIMUM WAGE - MORE HARM THAN GOOD" printed on page two of his New Britain Herald newspaper?
The Scott Whippie article in The Herald 10/5/2010 "Minimum Wage - More Harm Than Good".
New Britain Herald Reporter Whippie comments: that it is a plea that the media refrain from harping on the minimum wage and their unwavering belief that Linda McMahon intends to reduce it.

The question is that Blumenthal went to great length to avoid combat in Vietnam with six deferments, and then improperly created an impression of personal valor. Blumenthal can say he is proud of his service in the Marine Corps Reserves stationed in Washington, D.C. collecting Toys for Tots.
It's just not the same as combat in the Vietnam Tet Offensive. Plus the voters don't know the difference between membership in The American Legion and/or membership in VFW- Veterans of Foreign Wars.
How does a copy of my N.B. Herald comment that was posted on their website on Oct 5, 2010 at 8:47 AM: end up on your Blog on October 5, 2010 at 10:19 AM, almost 30 minutes earlier ? What's up with that ? Someone better fix their clock.
Today I received a robo-call from the AFL-CIO. The caller ID indicated it was originating in Washington DC. The robot went on, and on, and on about how wonderful Blumenthal is, how he will do everything for organized labor, and how Linda is the enemy of unionized labor.
Less than an hour later, I received my mail. Among it was a full color glossy advertisement that looks like it must have cost a fortune to print. It was sent by the Connecticut AFL-CIO in Rocky Hill.
To sum it up, the mailer proclaims that Blumenthal is God's gift to unions, while it portrays Linda as basically being the devil to unions.
Just the fact that these unions are spending so much money opposing Linda and supporting Blumenthal as if he were the 2nd coming of Christ, has me wondering what the unions expect to gain at taxpayer expense if Blumenthal becomes our Senator.
This is enough for me to vote for Linda in the election!

Democrats are the party of unemployment checks while Republicans are the party of paychecks.
ReplyDeleteWhich do you prefer???

And then he was simply mistaken about whether or not he went to Vietnam and whether or not he was spat upon when he returned home from combat.
ReplyDeleteLike Linda asked, how do you forget whether or not you were in Vietnam???
Just another lying sleazy Democrat.
I am convinced that Blumenthal wouldn't know the truth if it bit him on the nose!
