FRANKSMITHSAYSNB EDITORIAL:
This was the headline that appeared in the New Britain Herald today .
The Democratic leadership was quick to propose former state Rep. Terry Gerratana, but many of the Democratic council members haven't surfaced with their desires as to who should replace the Senator.
They are too busy deciding who will run for mayor in the next election with the ethics violator and high vote getter, Alderman Catanzarro, leading the pack.
Adding to the rumor mix on the Democratic side of the isle vying to become the Senator's replacement is well known former Mayor Lucian Pawlak.
Another mystery has entered the rumor mill since the resignation of Majority Leader Alderman Phil Sherwood from the city council.
This blog did announce that a rumor was throughout the city and city hall indicating that our Mayor may jump into the fray, a few days ago, and with the Herald quoting the Mayor in today's edition as saying he "would definitely take a look at" running for the state Senate Seat.
One can only imagine the disarray the mayor's action would cause to our city by leaving the leadership control of the city to the ultra-progressive socialists.
I Trust that the Mayor will evaluate his future move with his family's best interest in mind.
Sounds like that village in New Hampshire might be reclaiming their idiot?
ReplyDeleteSherwood resigning? When:)
ReplyDeleteMaybe the mayor will come to his senses and follow the mass exodus to a state that isn't overrun with communists?
ReplyDeleteNow there will really be singing and dancing in the streets upon the departure of Sherwood.
ReplyDeleteI suppose the Democraps will replace him with a 12 year old middle school drop-out?

I hope so!!!
New Hampshire Alderman Phil Sherwood isn't gone from NB politics yet. They're just relocating Phil into a different District so he can illegally run for the Seat as a State Representative - just like Tim O'Brien and Don DeFronzo have been doing it for years, MOVING UP THE LADDER.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous has left a new comment on your post "Who Will Replace DeFronzo?":

YOU FORGOT THE TERCYAK RUN WHILE LIVING IN HARTFORD THAT WASN'T LEGAL OR WAS IT?

Sherwood's desire to run for the twenty fifth Representative district while not living in the district would seem to be illegal.

Phil Sherwood is trying to repeat Tercyak's illegal election
ReplyDeleteMaybe the leadership of the party is upset with Sherwood for being one of the only elected Democrats who actually was living in his district, isn't that right, Mr. Tercyak????
ReplyDeleteThere is no law that says you must live in the district to run. You must live in the district once you get sworn in to office.
ReplyDeleteIt's not like the all the Department heads that the Mayor is letting live out of town even though Ordinances require them to live in town.
Sherwood will win if he runs. Hopefully he resigned because he is going back to vermont.
No matter where Sherwood plans to move, one thing is clear, the Belvedere neighborhood will be that much better for his leaving.

ReplyDeleteyou forgot that laws don't apply to Democrats. they are above the law and are free to break it all they want.
Being free of a radical extremist like Sherwood is the best Christmas gift the people of New Britain could ever have received.
ReplyDeleteThis is even better than Peace on Earth!
Little Mack must be interviewing at the nursery schools for the next appointee to the council.
ReplyDeleteTo be rid of DeFronzo and Sherwood both is sure a true Xmas gift to the city!
ReplyDeleteTo the person that thinks they know the city charter the only employees that are required to live within the city are only a handful of department heads and all but one are in compliance. The only one that is not still has been looking for a residence for a while and not been able to find a home that suits him and his family yet.
ReplyDeleteResidency is a permissive subject of collective bargaining and cannot be mandated upon a group unless they want it.
Happy New Year!
Is Sherwood putting his home on the market so he can move to a different district to replace John Geragosian as state rep, or is he and his wife separating? If his name remains on the deed to the home they live in now, can he represent both districts??? The best thing for NB is if he moves back to New Hampshire...
ReplyDeleteI know many people who would gladly contribute to his moving expenses back to New Hampshire so long as he promises never to return.
ReplyDeleteI said a while back that this new administration is turning into a big collection of "fruits and nuts"
