This vote by the Newington Town Council is shortsighted. It portends that in the end, if this opposition proves effective, the region will end up with nothing, no busway and no rail.
There will no easing of I-84 traffic snarls; distances between CT towns and cities are so short that there is no chance of any "high speed railin CT much less in the proposed central region of CT.
The reality is, that this whole issue is getting to be a political one, one that is simply based on, which major party has the most votes. Good luck to all.
