  1. How much did they pay the drivers from Maryland to bring voters to the polls? They didn't have enough from New Britain to the job?

  2. GERRATANA LEADS IN 6th DISTRICT RACE...

With most precincts reporting late Tuesday, former Democrat State Rep. Theresa Gerratana had a 200-vote lead over New Britain Mayor Timothy Stewart at 9:00 PM EST, February 22, 2011.

At a gathering at Whinstone Tavern at Stanley Golf Course in New Britain, the mood was somber among Stewart's supports as the votes were counted in the 6th Senate District race.

Stewart and Gerratana had engaged in a short, spirited campaign to fill the seat vacated by Sen. Donald DeFronzo, a Democrat who was appointed commissioner of the State Department of Administrative Services by Gov. Dannel P. Malloy.
