5,500 could be cut from the state without anyone except the laid off 5,500 noticing that a few people didn't come to work, however, the childish game that Danny Boy's administration will no doubt embark upon will be to make sure that the 5,500 are strategically selected to cause maximum interruption to services and maximum inconvenience to the public.
This will be how our new dictator will punish everyone for not giving him everything he demands.
At least through his elitist attitude, Danny Boy demonstrates he believes he is the imperial ruler and the rest of us are simply his serfs.
The Connecticut Federation of Taxpayer Organizations, Inc. (FCTO) a coalition of 90 grassroots taxpayer groups, wrote to Gov. Malloy and the General Assembly calling for a panel to recommend reforms to statutorily-guaranteed collective bargaining rights.
The recent rejection by the state employee unions of the proposed concession package offered by Governor Malloy placed a spotlight on the unhealthy control of state employee unions over our State, its budget, and finances, as well as the devastating impact it will have on taxpayers throughout our state, stated Susan G. Kniep, President FCTO, a former East Hartford mayor.
As union contracts are negotiated in secret, voters/taxpayers are frequently removed from the process although you expect us to pay the associated costs through the various forms of taxation you and municipal leaders impose upon us... stated FCTO President Susan Kniep.
