  1. This seems to be happening all over the state. Democrats are viciously attacking each other with multiple candidates attacking each other over the one position while town by town Republicans are united behind one candidate.

I guess it is just the ME, ME, ME mentality of selfish Democrats coming to fruition with everyone wanting that high salary and free car.

While selfish Democrats are fighting over who gets the free gas, Republicans are addressing the issues facing the towns & cities by seeking the best candidate to address the needs of their communities.

  2. In my opinion, Lucian is the least radical and the least socialist of the 4 members of the socialist party.

  3. Tim O'Brien Discussion Topics -Lowerng Unfair Property Taxes,

    * Allowing multiple towns and Boards of Education to enter into joint employee health insurance plans and joint school transportation contracts and allow regional education organizations to provide more services to local school districts.

    * Allowing municipalities to recover costs for architectural and engineering services, traffic studies, and safety inspections they provide.

    * Making state marshals, rather than the Mayor or Town Manager, responsible for moving a storage facility designated by the town,

    * Establishing a depreciation schedule for property tax purposes for machinery and equipment owned by certain utility companies.

    * Stipulating that the meeting minutes of a municipal agency need not be posted on the Internet in order to comply with the Freedom of Information Act's requirements.

    * Allowing cities and towns to save money by purchasing prescription drugs at lower cost through the state employee plan.

I am looking forward to a having a new Governor who will finally support property tax reform and the fairer tax policies I have been working for.

  6. Previous blogger seems to not mention the nominees for the BOE who Are responsible for more than 50 % of our city budget.

They are Erin Stewart (The mayors daughter), Nuck Mercier (a music teacher in Cheshire), and the always faithful and veteran BOE member, James E. Sanders Sr
