This is probably the biggest waste of money ever imagined. The cost is estimated at $1 million per inch for a bus that will run empty all day long. We need to write to the Republican majority in Congress and urge them to stop the financing for this madness because we have nothing but liberal zealots for our Congressional delegation.
Contact Speaker Behner and tell him to stop the funding for this nonsense:
Today the Courant reported that DOT intends to cut many bus schedules due to a lack of ridership, but we are at the same time going to spend $1 billion building the pipe dream busway from nowhere to absolutely nowhere.
I remember a retired bus driver who called into John Rowland's radio show telling Rowland's listeners that he drove the New Britain to Hartford run all day long for the last 24 years and that the bus was almost always empty all 24 years.
Just more proof that this is nothing more than a huge waste of our tax dollars.

ReplyDeleteWe, the taxpayers, must stop this colossal waste of our money..
Anyone who would think this busway is a good idea needs to have his/her head examined for they would appear to be completely brain dead.
