Friendship Center May the Democratic Plans for Saint Thomas Aquinas Property

Could it be that the Democrats, has I stated before on this blog, be planning to turn the Saint Thomas Aquinas property over to the Friendship Center?

Which will add more room, for the homeless needing help from the city, into the neighborhood.

  1. That would be perfect for this neighborhood, a homeless shelter that will bring nothing but bums and drug addicts to the neighborhood preying on any innocent victims who are dumb enough to be caught out on the street putting themselves out their to be robbed by their new neighborhood junkies.

This is the Democrat's vision for the future of New Britain--inserting a regular supply of junkies and thieves into our residential neighborhoods--making sure it is never again safe to venture outside beyond your locked doors and the new bars you will need to put on all your windows to keep out all the bums.

  2. Frank:

" At the July 13 th Council meeting, Council member Collins told the audience that the Aquinas proposal would not be voted on that evening and instead, would be tabled to allow East end residents who had not been able to ask any questions to attend yet another meeting to voice their concerns. This was a ruse; what Ald. Collins really meant was "Democrat speak" for, we want to dig up a few more people who object to the proposal. If anybody thinks this comment is unfair, find out who attended her hastily called meeting - by invitaion only, Republicans need not be invited. At the meeting were a few Dem Council members, a couple that are tenants in a house owned by one of the "antis" and two members of the public who HAD BEEN AT THE MEETING HELD IN JUNE AT CITY HALL. So much for those that had not had their questions answered. This meeting was simply another "plot" and once again, it excluded any Republicans and no invitation was given to Jan Brodie of Community Builders. There were no public notices for the meeting, yet, information gathered at the meeting was used to boldter the complaints of the "antis." Does anybody know who were the attendees? Come on Alderwoman Council, WHO WAS THERE?

So then, since nobody was there from C.B. that could answer questions officially, who did? Chances are, there were no questions. Simply more Democrat skulduggery.

And the worst and most ridiculous and disingenuous comment (DURING PUB. PART.) of all came from came from a person that had attended the secret meeting, to wit, there's nothing that says we can't have a private meeting, quite different from what had been promised by Ald. Collins at the 7/13 Council meeting. For anyone who reads this stuff, you be the judge. "

  3. Junkies shooting up their heroin and smoking crack pipes in doorways and alleys seems to be the vision council Democrats have for this neighborhood!

Wait until the children in the neighborhood start bringing home the abandoned drug needles and used condoms they start finding on the sidewalks and playgrounds.

I'm sure the neighborhood parents will be thrilled with the outcome.

  4. And who will pay for all this free stuff--you will with huge increases in your property taxes. Instead of the $5 million you were going to get from this sale, the Democrats not only want to give this property away for free, then they want you and I to pay for all the free services that will go along with moving hundreds of homeless people into this neighborhood which will amount to a takeover of the neighborhood by homeless people just by virtue of the sheer numbers of homeless they want to dump into this residential area.

  5. The neighbors will have to step over the drug addicts passed out on their front porches as they try to get into their own homes.
