STATE REP. TIM O'BRIEN WISHES ARE WRONG!!!!!

In a recent article Tim expresses if elected as New Britain's Mayor "he will work to attract and create businesses at former Shaw's and Wal-mart sites."

I assume the Mayoral candidate also wishes that the voters forget his part that he took along with his cronies, Former Attorney General Blumenthal, Alderman Paul Catanzaro, Former Alderman Phil Sherwood and various members of local unions in picketing Wal Mart forcing them to leave New Britain.

Claiming to be a job creator when in fact, with your actions, you lost 150 Wal-Mart jobs.

TELL THE VOTERS THE TRUTH RATHER THAN YOUR FICTITIOUS CLAIMS.

  1. How he gets re-elected legislator over and over is beyond me.

People ought to listen more to him and his political opponents...if they did, they would be less likely to vote for him.

Answer: He works hard. Like him or hate him, it's true.

Fact: Bernacki does not. Like him or hate him, this is also true.

The best ammo we have against Tim is that he voted to raise taxes. This is important of course. Too bad though our very own candidate Mark Bernacki voted to raise taxes and pushed Pawlaks huge tax increase while he was serving on the City Council.

Bernacki's other potential opponent is Paul C. The best ammo we have on him is that he seems like a lazy city employee. Too bad Mark is lazy and too bad he makes so much $ off the city with his printing. I bet he makes more from New Britain's printing each year than Paul C. earns for his annual salary.

We need to do better than we are in the GOP. Dwight where are our new candidates that people know? Why is Carillo on the ticket? Whether Cris gave Sherwood what he deserved or not he confessed to a crime to the NBPD? WTF! We can do better, we have good people in the Republican party! How do we get more of them to run for public office?

  3. Does he not understand simply business? Shaws and Wal Mart have leases on the buildings and until a year before the lease expires they will remain empty. The reason being that the empty buildings go on the loss side of the tax return. Has he not heard of a ride off? Business does this all the time balance profit against loss.

  4. Ask him what his policies for economic development will be if elected Mayor. He has nothing but empty rhetoric Frank! Just another wanna be in NB politics. This is all this city can get to run for Mayor? Democrats in this city should be ashamed and vote Republican!

  5. Don't forget only last year, Tim O'Brien supported doubling all the fees charged to us by the Motor Vehicle Dept and also huge increases in just about every other fee charged by the state such as admission to state parks, court fees, occupational licensing fees etc.

It was only the common sense of former Governor Rell vetoing his nonsense that saved us.

  6. Since most of O'Brien's supporters are the more than 50% of the population that has never worked a day in their lives nor ever paid a dime in taxes, I guess he sees it as his mission to punish those who work by supporting the doubling of all occupational license fees charged by the state?

That apparently is making them pay their fair share by spreading their wealth around.

  7. Wasn't this protest to demand that all of Walmart's managers be Puerto Ricans? Now there are no managers because there are no jobs because the world's largest employer told New Britain to shove their radical demands and simply closed their store and took their 150 jobs with them!

Now Democrats are attempting the same thing with Costco before it even opens.

Democrats apparently view these employers as evil rich empires that must be driven out of town at all cost.

  10. What job has Tim O'Brien ever held?

Name what leadership role he has ever held that would make him even think he is qualified to run a $210 million annual budget?

His only apparent experience is being one of 151 state representatives who simply votes however he is told to by the party bosses, now he expects to step right into running a city the size of a medium size corporation when he has never even so much as run a small business or even held a leadership role?

If the voters haven't learned from the chaos in Washington regarding the consequences of electing a totally inexperienced "nobody" to the chief executive position, then they deserve the devastation you can expect such an inexperienced radical extremist mayor will cause to the city.

Those who fail to learn from history are destined to repeat it.

  11. Why call Mark Bernacki lazy, when he runs a business and also serves on the Common Council. He isn't the one who drove WalMart out of town be demanding they hire Puerto Ricans in management positions. Someone ought to explain to O'Brien and his buddies that management positions are filled by people trained to fill them. DUH!

  12. Carillo will push Bernacki over the finish line.

He came so close to O'Brien last time he ran and the press he's gotten since has been stellar.

We need fresh faces, and dare I say a tea party person or 2!!!
