The Republican-American Quotable

The Republican-American Quotable: Quotable

"Stimulus efforts allow politicians to dispense dollars in patronage schemes conferring power upon themselves at taxpayer expense. Congress buys votes with your money. Even if public spending did stimulate, such corruption is too repugnant to condone. As government grows, it becomes increasingly self serving. Bureaucracy inevitably seeks its own expansion. Businesses succeed by producing efficiently and pleasing customers. Bureaucracies thrive via inefficiency. Exceeding one's budget makes it easier to ask for more. Failure allows sinecures to grovel before Congress that greater funding can achieve what lower funding merely wasted."
