But for all the displeasure with CL&P's performance that has been expressed in Hartford and in the towns & cities, our guess is the same thing will happen as did after Irene: Everyone will admit CL&P did a lousy job, but everyone in authority will do absolutely nothing to force the company to alter its behavior.
Everything will be as it was, and the situation will have been made no better. The people of CT will still be paying gold-plated rates for their third-world electric service.
And the next severe storm that hits the state, will probably set yet another record outage.
