For nearly a century Lear Pharmacy serves Ansonia - NewsTimes

But Malloy messed up her ability to stay in business by forcing the meds to be purchased out of state.

Good show Danny boy!

  1. Nanny Danny Strikes Again!December 30, 2011 at 9:09 AM

Nanny Danny and his socialist police state are destroying this state--driving business either out of business or out of this state in order to survive. It appears that our nanny may be competing with Michigan for the highest unemployment rate in the nation. Detroit has over 50% unemployment. Let's see how high Nanny Danny can make the unemployment rate in Hartford?

  2. Don't forget to give some credit to grandma Wyman. It is the biggest stand up comedy act of the century.

You have Nanny Danny and his Granny. Each statement is more bazaar than the last one!

  3. Joan Radin the owner of Lear Pharmacy at 198 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia CT criticized the Governor's plan to require state employees to fill their prescriptions through the mail. Lear Pharmacy has been located in Ansonia since 1916 but Joan Radin fears all the new rules, regulations and taxes will force the Pharmacy to close.

  4. Wonder if she ever supported the Dems, if so she can can take some responsibility for the problems they caused her and others.

  5. Good point, how many of these pharmacists do you think voted for Dictator Dan, the same Dictator who is now shuttering their businesses with his radical pro-union, anti-business plan? It should be comforting for these pharmacists to know that millions in taxpayer dollars are being sent to a Texas company for mail order prescriptions.

  6. ANSONIA- JOAN RADIN PRIDES HERSELF IN BEING CUSTOMER FRIENDLY.

Last month in November 2001, the customers of Pharmacist Joan Radin returned their thanks by electing the 78-year-old pharmacist as one of their Alderman -- a Republican one no less -- in an overwhelmingly Democratic City.

"I'm looking forward to it," said Joan Radin, who in the past attended meetings posing questions. Now she has ideas she'd like to introduce, like a business plan for a city which has seen Valley icons like Dworkin Chevrolet, Healey Ford and Pilgrim Bar-B-Que close their doors in the town of Ansonia, CT.

  7. Is Granny running things in CT? If you go to the state web site, Granny comes before Danny, so I guess the people who run the web site know who is really in charge?

  9. What a stupid idiot I am!

Let me see, I'll take tax dollars and use them to buy prescriptions from out of state and put hundreds of instate pharmacies out of business. I might even save a few pennies on every prescription, but I'll send hundreds of pharmacy employees to the unemployment line. They not only won't pay taxes anymore, but now I have to support them with unemployment checks for the next 4 years--unless they move to a state that still enjoys freedom.

I just can't understand why this isn't helping the state anymore than when I gave $300 million to a company that doesn't have to hire anyone for ten years, and then if they haven't filed bankruptcy and screwed me out of the entire $300 million, they promise that in 10 years they will hire 300 people.

I also am going to pay over $1 million dollars an inch for a busway that everyone knows will run completely empty, and then I will pay over $7 million per year just for fuel for the empty buses to run back and forth all day with absolutely no one on them because the buses will go from nowhere to absolutely nowhere that anyone would ever want to go. But I will create a few jobs for my beloved union members to drive the empty buses all day long. I won't create any union janitor jobs for anyone to clean them because since no one will ever ride the buses, they will never get dirty.

I also forced every employer to give paid sick leave to their employees and then made it a crime for the employer to interfere in the use of those days because the employees now own them. I don't understand why businesses are fleeing my state like rats jumping off of a sinking ship.

Even the uber-liberal legislature was afraid to attempt to force child care workers who are self employed to join a union, so in an order that a third world dictator would be proud of, I declared by the powers not vested in me that all child care workers in my state must pay dues to a union even if they are self employed and working out of their homes, because like most dictators, I can declare anything that I want without restrictions of any kind, since I am the only authority! They will pay the thugs from the union or else they will suffer my dictatorial wrath.

I also passed the biggest tax increase in the history of my state because even though the public who has to pay for my already over bloated state government is really hurting, I believe that government can never get too big. It should keep growing until all 100% of the public works for the government--then we'll have real equality. Every citizen of my state will get a 6 figure salary and a retirement double their regular salary because they can juice it up with all the overtime I will give them.

Which dumb stupid moronic idiot might I be???
