...The only remaining value that Sears has is the Craftsman and Kenmore brands. They should sell those off, give the money to the shareholders, and close up shop entirely. They can't compete with Lowe's and Home Depot for home improvement, with Best Buy for electronics, with Target/Filenes/Marshalls, etc. for low-end clothing, or with any of the auto service chains. It's sad but someone has just found a better way to do everthing that Sears used to do well.
Buy all your children's clothing in Massachusetts. Mass. doesn't charge sales tax on any clothing item priced less than $175.00, and while you are there fill up your car with Massachusetts gasoline that will cost you about 30 cents a gallon less than communist Connecticut and buy some booze because they have no sales tax on liquor. You can save a fortune to do your shopping in Massachusetts!
The Gov. even taxed the poor by placing a sales tax on their children's clothing.
