FRANKSMITHSAYSNB EDITORIAL:
During Public Participation portion of this week's Common Council meeting Mr. Robert Plienes, an anti-COSTCO, ultra liberal, who now has a post on the P&R Commission, made his usual grandstanding-type attack on former Mayor Tim Stewart by taking issue of the recent publicity whereby Mayor Tim O'Brien is seeking to have the Attorney General's office investigate claims that city computers were used for campaign purposes.
It has been reported in local newspapers that AG's office and three other State agencies responded stating that they have no jurisdiction over municipal government issues.
Pleines continued by suggesting that if the claims turn out to be true - who will decide ? - that they should stop his retirement check from the city and donate to the homeless , etc.
Recognizing, that a city resident has the right to his own opinion, this vicious public attack on the former Mayor's credibility was certainly uncalled for. Mr. Pleines continues to demonstrate his naiveté and his selfish personal interest in preserving what he calls his legacy to his children.
It sounded to me that Mr. Pleines was campaigning against former Mayor Stewart.
ReplyDeleteBut it's ok for tim stewart to call
ReplyDeleteour current mayor a jerk at c.p.o.a meeting?
Pure political scum Frank! Just another toady for Sherwood and his band of merry misfits! I hope Mayor Stewart takes this seriously and sues the pants off of these a**holes!
ReplyDeleteFrank:
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you know by now who is Mike "L _ _ _ _ _ _ _ A." He's harmless.
I didn't attend the meeting on Wednesday but I have had occasion to speak with Mr. Pleines. I may be wrong about him but Bob usually only speaks his own words about what he himself thinks. It's hard to believe - though I don't doubt you at all - that he could be used to make such
an inflammatory, litigious statement. Former Mayor
Stewart should hire lawyer and sue the idiots
involved.
Mike, maybe the current mayor is a jerk. Did you ever consider that possibility?
ReplyDeleteDoes his paycheck come from the public sector?
ReplyDeleteHey Mike it wasn't a CPOA meeting. Yes I did call him a jerk for not involving the landlords and their association in his decision to modify the Anti Blight Ordinances. His desire for a quick success obviously is what drove him to do what he did and it simply was a knee jerk reaction to a preceived problem he has been fixated with for years. So put me in jail for calling him a jerk at least I haven't called him a criminal like he has continued to do to me for the past two years!
ReplyDeleteIt seems that Mr. Robert Plienes at the NB Common Council meeting on 2/22/12 was campaigning against former Mayor Stewart by suggesting that if the claims turn out to be true - who will decide ? - that they should stop his retirement check from the city and donate to the homeless , etc.
ReplyDeleteI hope Mayor Stewart takes this seriously and sues the pants off of Mr. Plienes,
Pleines suggested Mayor Stewart be "thrown in jail" for his "crimes"- hey bob if this were true what LAW was broken?
ReplyDeleteOnly a total jerk would pass an ordinance that impacts landlords without even consulting them for their input about not only how it will adversely affect them, but also seeking their input about what the actual problem is and how they might even be able to help resolve the problems.
ReplyDeleteIf the mayor ignored them as it was previously suggested, then he is a real jerk.
The passing of an ordinance without discussing it with those impacted by it is an example of the punishment mentality of liberals and exemplifies their typical class warfare attitude of punishment of those evil rich landlords for what they perceive as a benefit to the poor people, but what will these poor people do when their landlords are forced to either jack up the rents to cover the cost of these massive fines, or if they walk away from their properties abandoning them and leaving the poor people with no place to live? Can they all move in with the mayor?

ReplyDeleteI'm sure you know by now who is heraldhater#1
He is no criminal just a harmless punk
Mike L:
ReplyDeleteGo smoke another joint, Mike.
Hey Mike or Nick or whatever you want to be called, why don't you just crawl back into you cave and leave the public alone. Doesn't the CIA want you back? Why would Adrian Baron give you space in his office? He must be crazy like you? And by the way how is your friend Rick doing????
ReplyDeleteHey Mike why don't you tell that to Tim yourself? I'm sure he'll give you a piece of his mind and probably something else to chew on!Coward!
ReplyDeleteFrank heard tonight that Chief Carr is leaving the Fire Department very soon. He even stopped by the firehouses to tell the rank and file. Here we go now a political kiss ass will get the job! My money is on Ronalter he has puckered up to the dems for the past ten years so he probably thinks they owe him. Just thought you would like to know.
ReplyDeleteJust ask yourself what totally incompetent radical socialist zealot with absolutely no qualifications could be interested in the job, and there's your candidate.
