Daniel M. Salerno States It as it Appears.

In today's New Britain Herald Mr. Salerno stated:
And I will quote a part of his letter to the editor which is on target:

" I for one would like to hear from the Mayor and the Board of Education on their positions about students who do not live in the school district attending New Britain Schools at the taxpayers' expense. Such abuse have been happening in the New Britain school system for decades, and have been swept under the rug. Maybe Mr. Cooper is onto something."
This was a good answer to Sherwood's alleged assault on the Board of Education Executive session.

I agree, but first we should hear an official statement from the Board regarding Sherwood's alleged actions as described in Mr.Caver's letter to the Mayor, as well as an official response from the Mayor to Sherwood's claim that he was sent to speak on his behalf. Until this is settled, there should be no moving forward.

Although I agree with anonymous for Mr. Salerno's lack of response to Sherwood's issue, I know from knowledge that there are several students who have been out of district students in the school system. I am not familiar with Salerno's claim. I mean who would want to come in from the suburbs to go to NBHS?? Are they crazy?

In the elementary system, several years ago, I stuck my neck out complaining about teachers who bring their children into our school district using the address of a school employee, usually a paraprofessional who lived within the district. They were covered by the principal who let them get away with it. They should have been paying in the area of $4,000 a year.

To set Salerno sttaight O'Brien did NOT graduate college and it is still in doubt that he graduated HIGH SCHOOL

Who does Mr. Salerno think he is to expect a response from the high and mighty O'Brien. O'Brien has spent our tax dollars hiring a professional agitator to insulate himself from dealing with the great unwashed, so why would Mr. Salerno think he is better than us to the point where he should be allowed to hear from his excellency himself?

Mr. Salerno will simply have to settle for a response from the paid agitator like the rest of us low life scum also know as voters and tax payers.

Although his letter sounds convincing, Dan has been around N.B. politics long enough to know that Sherwood and others (e.g. Rifleman Lopes) have been using these same putrid tactics for years. They are, in fact, standard operating procedure of the N.D.T.C.. Watching all these New Britain Democratic Faithful now try to sell us on their recent epiphany and feigned outrage is laughable.

Don't be fooled into buying into it!

The Anonymous commenter quoted above must remember that O'Brien's teacher is Obama. What is truly "KNOWN" about Obama's educational history? High School, Grades at Columbia and roommates, Grades at Harvard, Senior Thesis Subject, Rank in Class, what facet of law was his specialty< etc.?????? One can find out ten times more about Salerno.

I know Dan Salerno and he is no liar or exaggerator.

Dan is a fine fellow, but everyone who supported O'Brien, knew what they were getting. If he's truly fed up with Sherwood's tactics, he can call on the Committee chair(who he describes as a skillful leader) to put her politics aside and tell us what happened. She is the key to getting rid of Sherwood. We all need to contribute more than just rhetoric if we want to free our city from this troublemaker.

For his sake, I hope Mr. Cooper is now fully aware that the people he will be working under value party politics above all else.

I THINK WHAT YOU REALLY MEAN IS THAT THEY VALUE A COMMUNIST DICTATORSHIP OVER FREEDOMS.

There shouldn't be any misconceptions about Mayor O'Brien holding a college degree. His own political resume for the past two Mayoral elections said "Attended CCSU". He certainly did not graduate. I was told he dropped out after one or two semesters of his first year at CCSU.

I wish people would stop worrying about President Obama's school grades and class standing. Class standing has little correlation with success in life. Some famous successful people, like John McCain, graduated near the bottom of their class in college. Dick Cheney flunked out of Yale, twice. Finishing college is a key element to getting a job these days, except for political positions, where education is apparently not as important as it is everywhere else.

Previous comment misses the following the point:

Ignorance of the fact that O'Brien does not hold a college degree is indicative of how uninformed Lib Dem voters are about the candidates they vote for. Even those Lib Dems with letters after their names.

This is not a personal attack, but a political observation.
