Sherwood responds to Mayor's Letter

Much to my surprise in reading the front page of the hardware city journal that showcased an item entitled "Mayor's Aide Responds."

This response was for a letter sent to His Honor, Mayor T. O'Brien, by a Board of Education member and is entitled to a direct response from the mayor regarding the actions of his aid alluded to within this letter.

The response by Mr. Sherwood should have been entitled "Denial, Denial,& Denial" for his alleged "egregious behavior."

One can only assume that his honor condones the radical behavior expressed in Mr. Carver's letter.

  4. The Sherwood Herald and the Democratic majority on the B.O.E. will do whatever it takes to sweep this under the rug. Frank; It us up to all concerned citizenship to loudly speak out and hold them accountable. This may be our last best opportunity to finally rid our city government of the sherwoods forever.

WRONG: THIS ONE IS COMPETEING WITH THE NEW BRITAIN CITY JOURNAL AND IT ONLY BEEN OUT FOR THE LAST TWO EDITIONS.

  6. Obviously, the Hardware City Journal is where the Democrats send letters and press releases that they don't want anyone to read.

  7. Oh yea, The Hardware City Journal isn't that the Nick troll?

    I thought he was Republican?

  8. "Child X-ing/De Rio's controversial crackdown on border-crossing students" - Texas Observer
cover story by communications director Melissa del Bosque.

So, how pervasive is the Democrat lust for entitlement-dependent voters? Consider the issue of illegal immigration for a moment. Anywhere from 12-40 million miscreants have crossed our borders illegally and are living in America with impunity.

And while American citizens are being forced to settle for less, Democrats refuse to cut programs that coddle illegal aliens with goodies that cost taxpayers more than $110 billion a year!

Our borders are not enforced and existing laws are blatantly ignored for fear of offending the invaders with racist actions.

  9. QUESTIONS RAISED; The New Britain Democratic town chairman of DTC has raised some questions about the man who has been offered the position of NB school superintendent, saying that Kelt Cooper may have used "vigilante-like" tactics in a crackdown against Mexican school children sneaking into the Texas Del Rio school district as reported by the Del Rio News-Herald newspaper headlined story " The District Cracks Cracks Down on 'illegal Students'.

  10. Obviously Sherwood is the actual mayor if for no other reason than the guy that you actually voted for is obviously just too dumb to actually perform the functions, so Sherwood is the actual mayor whether you like it or not. The best part is that you can never vote him out of office because he was never elected to the position.

  11. I thought if you didn't want anyone to read it, you should send it to the Herald, since no one I know reads that liberal extremist rag.

  12. Frank,
It seems that you have more readers than the Herald!

  13. Frank:

Phil Sherwood has no official status in New Britain; he is a professional troublemaker and lackey for any ELECTED OFFICIAL that wants a muckraker and a prevaricator to do dirty work.
Phil has absolutely no authority whatsoever to do what he does. He is not elected and there is no provision in the Charter for his position. Why department heads, directors, and duly elected officials and city hall employees allow Phil Sherwood to boss them around and intimidate them is beyond me. Personally, I am surprised that Sharon Beloin-Saavedra, at this time, is the most glaring example of Phil's intimidating tactics. I am incredulous that she even talked with Sherwood.

When Phil gets officious, people should simply ignore him or tell him to take a hike. The fact that Phil was hired by O'Brien is simply testament to O'Brien's ineptitude and the fact that he is an invertebrate.

  14. Where can one get a copy of the Hardware City Journal?

  15. Just more evidence of O'Brien's inability to perform the job he was elected to perform.

  16. The Hardware City Journal (run by Nick Paonessa) went out of business over a year ago.

It is now back and you can draw your own conclusions about who is financing it (certainly not Nick who lost his house to foreclosure).

Clue #1 - Nick has an office in Atty. Adrian Baron's building. Although Atty. Baron ran with Mark Bernacki, he is a Democrat who is also interested in being cozy with the current occupants of City Hall for his own personal and professional benefit.

Clue #2 - The two editions of the revived Hardware City Journal are cheerleading newsletters for the Democrats. Mayor OB is given a full page, Sen. Gerratana a full page of pure, unchallenged political bs.

Clue #3 - Latest edition has Sherwack on front page talking about his response to Paul Carver's letter, but does not print the letter or even TALK to Paul Carver (who is in the phone book). One sided is the nicest thing I think of to say about it.

So who do you think is bankrolling the Hardware City Journal?

Sherwood, not happy with the Herald and Courant, who by the way are doing a bang up job of printing all his crap, wants another outlet where there is even no pretense of journalistic fairness.

Reminds me of another infamous propaganda czar from WWII, but I won't insult people by comparing them to Sherwack.

  17. Frank:

If anyone wants to throw up, read the article on Sherwood in the HCJ.

You know immediately what you are in for as soon as you see that right off the bat, Phil tries to blame Tim Stewart for his (Sherwood's) invasion of the BOE executive session. Stewart never did nor would he think of going uninvited to any executive session. of any department.
Then Phil denies everything that other BOE members heard him say. The man is an inveterate liar.

  18. How Dare You MaNamara. of accusing Cooper of be a viglante. He is and was protecting the citizens of Del Rio from stealing. In New Britain a FOULLTIME person checks and double checksstudents going to school as to their resadenancy.
