Mayor Obrien's Administration Runs Amuck

ThFRANKSMITHSAYSNB EDITORIAL:

The Announcement citing that the elevation Mr. Phil Sherwood to Deputy Chief of Staff with a $l5k in salary was a set up for the placement of as a czars as stated by city hall sources and was announced on this blog.

And a local newspaper has confirmed by substantiating this blogs weekend release in today's edition.

Ms. Klotz according to the inform sources at city hall only needs one year of service in order to accumulate sufficient time for retirement from the city.

Now with the mayor claiming to merge the Mayor's office with economic development which will add more czars to compliment of the office being proposed with Sherwood as the leading "czar."

I know the names of the new czars but, I will await for the city hall to make its announcement. I can assure the taxpayers will be very surprised to hear the names of these new czars that will be headed by the leading "Czar Sherwood."

Adding Mr. Klotz to the retirement rolls forcing the taxpayers to carry the financial burden in order to make this Democrat financially secure.

The Democratic don't care because it's not their money it’s the taxpayers.

The Mayor is hoping to layoff 130 City Workers as stated in his budget proposal thus ending the services our taxpayers have been accustomed to receiving from the city.

So New Britain Taxpayers Wake up..

  1. Asst Majority Leader Democratic Alderwomen Eve Magnuszewski has an interesting point of view on City's deficit. She believes that the City's overspending by Democratic Common Council put us in this situation and in time their overspending will get us out?

  2. How do we effectively overthrow this city government? Impeach them, fire them? They're crazy.

  5. This administration, through the Finance Director, tries to throw Mayor Stewart under the bus and instead throws the Finance Director under?

There is a deeper story here.

  6. What I find interesting is that Frank Smith reported this story a week ago and no one would listen to him. Now that the uber-liberal Herald finally reported it, all of a sudden it must be true?

  7. The mayor's proclaiming Sherwood as some sort of wizard of economic development is a hard pill to swallow indeed.

Is this not the same Sherwood who led protests in front of Walmart until he and his band of radicals were successful in running this employer of about 170 out of the city?

Has he not publicly declared his opposition for what he apparently perceives as another evil empire (Costco) coming to the city?

And let's not forget his childish and immature "where's the beef" comments that apparently led to an investor taking his proposed $5 million investment in Pinnacle Heights and taking it elsewhere (probably anywhere that was not in New Britain would have been an acceptable alternative after the embarrassment this developer was subjected to).

In my opinion, his past performance would seem to suggest he would be better suited as the czar of economic UNDEVELOPMENT.

  8. Eva Demonstrates her ignorance after she presided over the overspending that put the city into this fiscal mess, she now says she thinks the answer is to spend more money that we don't have and that will solve the problem.

That would be the equivalent of me running my credit card up to the limit to where I can't pay the bill, so my solution is to run out and get another credit card to keep spending with.

Obviously she has never run a business, otherwise she would understand that the answer to our problem isn't going to be spending more money that we just don't have.

  9. Czars?? Are they crazy. OMG! Our founders are rolling over in their graves.
In honor of the immigrants who came to New Britain decades ago and raised their children in a two parent family to be successful, disciplined, solid citizens, we should rally against this crazy administration. Now, we should act and get two thousand people down town before it is to late. We cannot depend on the Herald. They should be picketed, as well.

  10. Is this not the same Sherwood that was fired by the mayor of Hartford?
