New Britain Mayor Orders Private Guards To Confiscate American Flags In Gestapo Style Seizure! Apparently The American Flag is Offensive To This Regime!
How Many Of Your Tax Dollars Were Spent To Pay A Contractor To Seize Flags From City Residents?
Sherwood said "No placards, signs, or flags allowed". Also, nobody was frisked for knives, pens, or other weapons including firearms, but flags were considered too dangerous!
I guess it was what these flags stand for that is considered too dangerous!
You can't make this stuff up. O'Brien Sherwood & Company are overseeing the biggest budget deficit in New Britain history, and yet they had no trouble finding money to pay a contractor to seize tiny little American flags from people. Then again they probably just plan to raise more taxes to pay for it.
employee of the City of New Britain, acting in the capacity of a security guard......
Did Sherwood first comply with state law by obtaining a license from the state police for this person to be employed as a security guard?
Section 29-161Q(b) of the Connecticut General statutes: " (b) No person hired or otherwise engaged to perform work as a security officer, as defined in section 29-152u, shall perform the duties of a security officer prior to being licensed as a security officer by the Commissioner of Public Safety. Each applicant for a license shall complete a minimum of eight hours training in the following areas: Basic first aid, search and seizure laws and regulations, use of force, basic criminal justice and public safety issues. The training shall be approved by the commissioner in accordance with regulations adopted pursuant to section 29-161x."
Sec. 29-161q(h): (h) Any person, firm or corporation that violates any provision of subsection (b), (d), (e) or (g) of this section shall be fined seventy-five dollars for each offense. Each distinct violation of this section shall be a separate offense and, in the case of a continuing violation, each day thereof shall be deemed a separate offense.
This only applies to contract guard firms. In-house guards are not bound by this.
YOU ARE 100% WRONG ON THIS ONE. EVERY SECURITY GUARD IN THE STATE MUST HAVE A LICENSE WHETHER THEY ARE IN-HOUSE OF CONTRACT GUARDS. THE LAW WAS CHANGED ON THIS FACT SEVERAL YEARS AGO!
Once again just worthles words. This kid says I'm sorry and I was only following orders. Yet says I don't know where the orders came from so I can't say a name. I call him a lire Someone told him. Thus someone told the person that told him, and someone told him until you get to who gave the order. Sherwood i say. And this kid is doing what he can to save his job. Very sad that people believe him. And what we have to thank him for a false appology ? Really ? I say no. Fire Him unless he tells the real truth !!!!!!
I am sure the communist flag would have been welcomed with open arms!
ReplyDeleteCommunism is a live in well in New Britain City Hall.
ReplyDeleteI think that the American flag to these socialists is like showing a cross to a vampire!

ReplyDeleteisn't the NB flag now the sickle and star?
ReplyDeleteI think your headline is wrong. It should read, employee of the City of New Britain, acting in the capacity of a security guard......
ReplyDeleteSherwood's hand picked interim chief of police is culpable also.
ReplyDeleteIf he doesn't apologize we should call for his resignation.
