FRANKSMITHSAYSNB EDITORIAL:
The cutting off of any communications with a local paper by the O’Brien/Sherwood administration has everyone talking.
Many variations of explanations as to the real reasons the Mayor is upset with the New Britain City Journal but he is exposing himself and the city to a violation of the employee’s constitution rights-- “the right of free speech” denied to all city employees as reported in recently in the “CITY JOURNAL” and FSSNB.
The Mayor’s/Sherwood’s worries are just beginning to surface and from my vantage point and they will not survive the onslaught.
I have heard all the variations too numerous to mention but the most intriguing one is that Christmas will not be a good one for either of them.
So I cannot help but wonder if the aforementioned will make it a happy Christmas for the city’s taxpayers and the so called “absentee landlords.”
Perhaps, Mr. Sam Zherka, is just the man that can help the citizens of New Britain to fight city hall , by helping to rid the city of the 11 alderman who voted for the ill-conceived ordinances , and also for referring to him as a absentee slumlord.
Mr. Smith is doing such a good job exposing what an absolute ass Sherwood is making out of the mayor?
ReplyDeleteNew Britain needs more men like Sam Zherka!
ReplyDeleteThere has been no denial from the Mayor's office re an alleged gag order placed on city hall workers by the Mayor's office not to answer any questions asked of the workers by the New Britain City Journal and its Editor, Robin Vinci. Also there has been nothing written in The Herald by the Herald that such a gag order was not placed on city hall workers by the O'Brien/Sherwood administration.
ReplyDeleteDenying the Constitutional Right of Freedom of Speech to any citizen of this country is illegal and UNCONSTITUTIONAL. O'BRIEN AND SHERWOOD APPEAR TO HAVE DONE JUST THAT.
O'BRIEN AND SHERWOOD SHOULD BE BROUGHT UP ON THESE CHARGES/VIOLATIONS. THIS SHOULD AND MUST BE DONE BY THE COMMON COUNCIL AND O'BRIEN AND SHERWOOD FORCED TO DEFEND THEMSELVES. IF FOUND GUILTY, THEY SHOULD BE REMOVED FROM OFFICE BY THE COMMON COUNCIL AND BANNED FROM EVER AGAIN PARTICIPATING IN POLITICS, LOCAL, STATE OR NATIONAL.
I used to think that the dumbbells were on the council but now it appears the real hardcore dumbbells are in the mayor;s office.
ReplyDeleteWhat has happened to journalism in this country? An elected official attempting to silence a newspaper and other media sources report absolutely nothing. Not a word! Imagine the massive outcry in the media if a Republican attempted to silence a news organization? I believe this just further demonstrates how your so-called local newspapers and other media outlets are little more than liberal propaganda machines for the Democrat regime in power.
ReplyDeleteNew Britain Mayor Tim O'Brien is a high school flunky with a GED. He attended some classes at CCSU only long enough to say he went to collage. His only real job in New Britain was bagging groceries for about 4 months. Mr .O'Brien wrote 217 pieces of legislation in his time at the State Capitol as a State Representative up in Hartford - Yet not one of his Legislative Bills saw the light of day. Plus, Phil Sherwood is the real acting Mayor here in City of New Britain.
ReplyDeleteLETTER to EDITOR of NB CITY JOURNAL....
ReplyDeleteTo The Editor:
I am the security guard at City Hall the night of the Council Meeting, Protest, and Flag Incident. I am a 13 year employee of the City. I would like to apologize to any and all people that were offended by the flags on the ground. Some of those were put there by me as my hands got filled, it was not being done with malice or intended disrespect to the flag or our great veterans. I am a person that will actually shake the hand of random veterans and thank them for their service. Once I saw Officer Stafford grab them and put them in his pocket it dawned on me what I was doing and that I had the same type of pants on. So I too started to put them in my pocket. At no time did I or any member of the staff that night put a flag in the garbage. And we were telling people they could have the flag back when they exited the building. Again I am deeply sorry to anyone that was offended by the sight of the flags on the ground. It was a thoughtless action not malice or intended disrespectful action by myself.
I hope that is understood because I love my country. God bless our veterans and God bless the United States of America.
Arnold Delio/New Britain
The New Britain City Journal would like to thank the security guard for his courage to make an apology. His apology should be accepted as he made a human mistake that can happen to anyone in a difficult situation. He did not apologize to start political banter. He did it from his heart.
ReplyDeleteOn November 14th, 2012 the New Britain Mayor's office exterminated democracy at City Hall. Even a small child was subject to Mayors tyranny as her flag and her freedom were taken away from her.
ReplyDeleteYet, a New Britain Herald Editorial stated that the taking of flags from children and senior citizens in front of City hall during a demonstration by public didn't happen.
Who Do You Believe?
The Herald can deny the flag taking all they want in their efforts to push their obvious radical liberal agenda, but the video speaks for itself.
