Gov. Rick Perry Speaks out

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — Gov. Rick Perry says he's disgusted by the left using the massacre in Newtown, Conn., to advance a pro-gun control agenda.

As President Barack Obama unveiled the most sweeping proposals for gun violence in two decades Wednesday, Perry said "no gun law could have saved the children" killed in the mass-shooting.

Perry added in a statement: "The Second Amendment to the Constitution is a basic right of free people" and can't be limited by the president.

Obama urged Congress to pass universal background checks and bans on military-style assault weapons and high-capacity ammunition magazines.

He also used presidential powers to enact 23 measures, including ordering federal agencies to make more data available for background checks. He also directed the Centers for Disease Control to research gun violence.

  1. Democraps disgust me personnally too:

    Governor Perry said:

"In fact, the piling on by the political left, and their cohorts in the media, to use the massacre of little children to advance a pre-existing political agenda that would not have saved those children, disgusts me, personally.

  2. "Perry calls for tax relief in light of budget surplus"

Rick Perry has enormous budget surpluses because of the booming Texas economy while our own Despot Dan has hundreds of millions in budget deficits thanks to the expanding socialism jammed down our throats by Democrats.
